I think he's overrated by the media. I think he's going to Dallas at #12. Jerry isn't going to be scarfed of getting in bed with Deion.
Right, but Jerry is dumb enough to be fooled into trading up for him.

Hello? Jerry? Yup it's Eliot.

I think he will go two or three. I think he just sees that whatever team he wanted his son to go to (many believe it is the Raiders) may not get him. There seems to be more and more talk that Sanders will go two or three.

I'll take that bet.

We need him to go top 3...

If not, I hope the Raiders will give us one little pick to jump two spots....

We need to talk to other teams about leap frogging the Raiders....and create a market for Sanders!

Im so glad to have distanced myself from Drafts. Pumping up young guys who can become nothing but busts, having a favorites to be picked and then not happening, getting nervous about what other teams are doing, i do not miss it

The intuition in me says that, even if Hunter and Carter are gone, there will be demand for the 4th pick and the 2nd best QB in the draft. It's just that much of a premium position, and if have the smallest inkling that a guy can become the Franchise face, you have to throw everything to get it

Also, the same intuition makes me think we will get out of the 1st round satisfied, no matter what pieces fall. If we don't land a blue chip prospect, i still think we are getting a good haul and moving back

now watch them draft that freaking RB at 4

I don't expect a ton of productivity from any rookie, so if we see incremental improvement from the new offense and defense, I think we should be happy this year.

hey now, it's not fun being THIS optimistic early

One thing it goes our favor when it comes to Giants taking Sanders is that with Russell Wilson they should win enough games to not have a top pick and it's not clear Manning is declaring, so they have to take a QB this year because next year they might not have a shot.

Daboll and Schoen need to win games this year and build for the future. If the Giants are in the position to draft Arch Manning, Daboll and Schoen will be fired. If they win enough games to save their jobs, they won't be in position to draft a QB next year. That is why they still probably take Sanders at 3 if he is available.

The tough thing about the draft for me is less about the busts and more the reality that a lot of these guys that we talk about and gush over end up just being "okay". Like you would think 15-20 superstars are coming out of each draft, but realistically it's maybe one or two elite players... no more than 5 in an exceptional draft, then a bunch of these guys settle around solid above average roleplayers. Then the majority flush out

Putting my armchair recliner GM hat on for a second, I wouldn’t draft him in any round.

I'm not high on him either and as I type this I am actually sitting in a recliner.

He throws too many stupid interceptions, completion percentage is only impressive when paired with high TD rate, low INT percentage and good yards per attempt.

Plus he’s short and not a great athlete, if he wasn’t Deion’s kid who knows if he even gets as many starts as he did at Colorado.

Plus he got a lotta help from Hunter and Wester

And the BIG12 where defense is an afterthought and the best defensive team in the conference were some Mormon kids at BYU.

This is also why Travis is slightly overrated, great player, but he’s not doing that in the SEC.

I dunno....He'd still be a top WR/CB. Incredibly talented athlete.

He’d never get an opportunity to be a full time two way player on Alabama or an SEC team. Deion had to make concessions so Travis would go to Colorado.

Like I said, great prospect but probably somewhat overrated. The BIG12 is arena league football and Colorado didn’t win.

To me he's a 3rd or 4th rounder you take a chance on if he's there after you got the top two guys on your wish list that you firmly believe will make an impact.

He’s off my board.
