Player Signing Patriots Sign WR Stefon Diggs

Both Allen and Lockett are hitting the dreaded age of 33 for WR's.
They're not signing for 6 years. But they're not sending the quarterbacks out there with nothing again, and they're hopeful getting diggs done will open up other avenues.

You could do a lot worse than Tyler Lockett as your 2nd boundary guy

This is definitely a good example to hope for, but make no mistake, it's the exception to the rule. Always good to have optimism, but expecting Diggs to not have some level of rust just wouldn't be smart. The trend of receivers coming back from that injury is clear. Maybe he can be the exception and that would be great, but hard to expect that.

Still think even with age/injury decline Diggs can be a quality player still, just not expecting production that matches the name value anymore.
Edelman also got suspended for 4 games for PEDs during the recovery. He also tore his ACL in August and not November

Edelman was also in the Pats system for years before hand and had Brady throwing to him.

They're taking Hunter if he's there.
They will be drafting a WR regardless.
Maybe. If they decide to trade up into the 1st round for an OT (Simmons) that likely ends the WR dream. Maybe not.

They are childish. They are asinine. They are an alternative to actual thought followed by actual expression. Perhaps your post demonstrates the dismal results when those who suffer from a need for such crutches attempt to express themselves in an adult manner, using words. It might indeed be best for you to stick to posting pictures. As for your adolescent compulsion to "push the buttons" of those who do not share your limitations, that is an embarrassment you would do well to overcome.

A wide receiver will be taken at some point in this draft.
Polk and Baker are going to have to compete in camp. They were gifted roster spots last year. The roster deciders are different this year.

I am a fan. You seem to have this need to share your premature ejaculations on here so please grab some tissues and clean up your post.
If they draft or sign another WR, are you going to give us a 10 WR list for Week 1?
So your a ****..? U like to watch?... u get off on it I see.. my assessment was based on who I believe makes the team. Unless it's Hunter or someone that absolutely blows it out the park then yeah I'll adjust.. do you anticipate this happening?? I don't. So that's why I went ahead and posted it.

Unless it's Hunter we take if available at 4.. I just don't have any confidence we see a WR that we draft this year that will be of significant impact to start the season.

It's both

Highsmith recruited a lot of these guys directly out of high school, he has previous relationships with them.
I see what you are saying. When he was at the U?

Figured it was likely nonsense that Shedeur was going in the top 3 but was hoping the Giants or Cleveland was dumb enough to do it. I don’t know what the Giants are doing. I figured Jameis was a bridge and they were drafting someone. Now they have two bridge guys with nothing to build on for the future.
If I am one of those teams I am not banking on Ward or Sanders.

Draft a better player, and get a stopgap like Winston, Wilson,

Or Brissett,

And hope you can get a better QB prospect next year.

Do we have a good blocking TE on the roster?

We currently have at least 2 good ones in Henry and Hooper. The last couple of years they were so needed as weapons that their blocking didn't get much of a chance to stand out but both grade out as good to very good blockers. Raheim Bell is a very good run blocker but I think I'd classify him more as a fullback than a tight end since no one is sitting either of the guys above him on the depth chart in favor of Bell.

Only $26m guaranteed for a 31yo coming off a major knee injury....

Agree the NEP can manage the spend easily but Jesus..

The biggest point to this IMO is that it seems Diggs wants to be here.

Every WR FA Possibility since BB left, Aiyuk, Higgins, Kupp, Metcalf, Ridley, who they might have had a chance at, did not want to be here, even for money.

Diggs get Buffalo twice a year, is clear #1 if healthy, has the next possibly great QB throwing to him, plus goes back to his glory days of the AFC East for one more chance.

Few FAs wanted to be here. That culture is already changing plus Diggs has a big mouth. I don't see any situation where Diggs takes the money and doesn't give it his all.

This could become a Washington type destination with any success, even if it takes him a year to be his best.

I hate to say this, but I was not impressed with the highlights I saw of Carter. He is not the next Lawrence Taylor. I saw a lot of sacks, but he had wide open lanes to rush through.....now that being said I only saw a few minutes of him. Maybe he can indeed run over guys, maybe he can shed blocks, maybe he is stout against the run, maybe he can wreck game plans, etc. I am not sure,

Howerver....

What I saw of Hunter leaves no doubt that this is a blue chip guy. He has incredible agility, hands, and quickness.....

I have no idea who is calling Carter the next Lawrence Taylor. lol. Where did that come from? The hope is he is the next Micah Parsons. The similarities and potential is there, and he is well worth the #4 pick.

Do you understand we are not choosing between Hunter and Carter. ? One may fall to us. Both won't because of Mayo. We are left with Ten, Clev, and NY scraps. If one falls, we had better run that card to the podium. It doesn't matter which one.

This happens whether they draft a WR or not.

Why are no details coming around guarantees.

What are the incentives . Is it more like 2 years 35 million.
