Stefon Diggs visiting Patriots

Nothing against guys who have that chip - I think it’s good too and I think Vrabel values that. The issue is when it goes overboard and a player’s personal goals are placed ahead of the team’s success. If you don’t cross that line then it’s all good.
His personal goals are to catch passes and score touchdowns. That doesn’t conflict with the teams goals.
Would you rather have a good receiver who gets open and wants the ball or guys who suck and tell you they have the best hands in the league over people in wheelchairs stand up?
I’ll take the guy who can play and ignore all the crying about drama

Where the hell do you get that from my post?
You said you wanted to only offer Diggs an incentive laden contract evidently explaining it to him as you are a **** so we don’t want to give you a contract based upon ability. That will prevent him from coming here and leave us with the worst wr group in the NFL by far.

No he is coming off an ACL and will be 32 by year's end. Diva/behavior issues concern me but wouldn't as much if he was 26 and healthy.

You don't know what other teams have offered. The best deal wins.

Diggs isn’t signing here if you offer him an incentive based contract and when he asks why you tell him ask Josh Allen.
You want to take the guy you consider arrogant and tell him you want him but doubt he can play any more si he only gets a prove it deal.
For what? So we can avoid spending money we aren’t going to spend anyway?

wheres that airport pic/meme…

I don't think you know that.

Motivate the player/less financial risk for team if he physically can't perform or if he becomes disruptive and is cut.
You have to be a moron to think Diggs is gong to say ok give me the vet minimum and incentives because I agree imma huge risk and you should be protected from me.
Why are we so worried about money we won’t even spend otherwise?

We need the player. Badly. Playing hardball with him and losing him is stupid.

Guys, have a little objectivity. Diggs at 31+, rehabbing an ACL, is literally NOT better than anything we have.

I know Pop hasn't turned into Tyreek like we all hoped, but he has put up respectable numbers in 2 disastrous years.
I can firmly say that Pop is a better option in '25 than Diggs will be... (hold your wrath!)...
Especially because of the staff's intention to not surround Maye with vet diva WR's that will pressure him for targets, and be a locker room distraction... which Diggs is.

I’m fine with Diggs n a 1-2 year deal. But like the rest of the signings at this point it’s more of a band aid, and not the guy you want starting in 27’.

You talk about it in every thread.
How can you talk about the team without talking about them but using their resources?
How can you say a player is overpaid without addressing that we aren’t going to spend the money in anyone?

I get that it hurts your feelings to admit that Kraft won’t spend like he needs to but it’s a critical problem with this franchise so maybe your feelings being hurt isn’t that important.

It absolutely can. He is the best player and teams will roll more coverage his way as a result.

If Maye drops back to pass and sees Diggs has slightly beaten his man, but there's a safety over the top ready to come break up or intercept a pass that way, and then elsewhere he sees Henry/Hollins/Douglas/Boutte/whoever is just open with no risk because they only had 1 man to beat, and the outcome of the play yardage-wise is similar, he should absolutely avoid throwing to Diggs and instead hit the open man.

If Diggs "felt like" he was open, because he beat the corner but didn't see the safety behind him, and this happens several times a game and he throws a tantrum, you have a problem. Maye is doing what is best for the team to win, but Diggs is upset because he's not getting the ball, even though the other team is specifically working to stop him from getting the ball.

Who is talking about vet minimums? I think you would have to be a moron to think a) a team would do that and b) a team would offer $20m in guarantees to a 32 year old WR 4 months removed from ACL surgery.
Why are we so worried about money we won’t even spend otherwise?
How do you know they aren't going to spend it? It's also called financial responsibility.
We need the player. Badly. Playing hardball with him and losing him is stupid.
We need a top receiver badly.

We don't necessarily need Diggs badly.

We need AJ Brown badly.

I have no idea what you are trying to say here re: Josh Allen.

Who said Diggs is arrogant? I said he has a behavior issue which was a disruption. We know of two teams who traded him because of this.

Not holding it..

You need to be questioned on the stand for this one. You seriously telling me small fry 5’8 soda pop Douglas is better than Diggs ?

Diggs has forgotten more about route running than little bo peep Demario has ever known

Diggs has a monster catch radius and knows how to come down with a ball in traffic. Demario is physically incapable of winning contested catches

Diggs can score touchdowns and is a red zone threat. Douglas is allergic to the endzone and d coordinators sleep like babies during patriots game plan week.

Diggs has slowed down a bit speed wise but still has big play potential and is a home run threat. Douglas is shifty, but offers little to none big play potential because for his size he simply isn’t fast enough

i don't know if pop is even a better option than boutte at this point........if he learns how to run routes, read coverages, and get on the same page as his QB, maybe.......

You like to put words in peoples mouths to support your arguments don't you. I have never said anything about Polk, so far he is nothing more than a jag that we hope can be something other than a waste of space.

Honestly man, who knows more about what you said you or Andy?
You're being far too kind to Polk. Becoming a JAG would be a massive improvement. He's got miles to go before he even approaches the level of a JAG
