I’d like them to pass. Life is difficult enough w/o divas.

Serious question

If we offered him 25M, all incentive ladden

Who says no? Who are ""we"" helping by not being spenders on the market, even if it's obsecene? Its the Market who can't keep up with our capital
I don’t think it’s going to cost that much.

Respect your oppinion friend

You are in a for a bad experience in football for years to come

With the whole NIL thing in college, Social Midia extravaganza of society

I'm not finishing my line of thinking, i think you get it

Exactly. TB12 elevated out receivers. Now we need receivers who will elevate Maye.
See the Difference Diva WR haters?? Maye is not Brady.

Diggs passion and his sense if urgency could rub off on guys. Polk and baker could learn a lot from a guys who's been an all pro.
Diggs is not a miracle worker Twin: he's a Very Good WR lucky fairy dust probably couldn't help Polk and Baker. I would love us to get Aiyuk for a pick hopefully for a Fourth: I can live with losing one of our Thirds if the 49ers kicks back a Fourth.

Diggs - Aiyuk - Pop Douglas and Boutte.

The Rest are Refuse or Garbage.

Here’s what I said about Diggs in the plan at wide receiver thread:

I went back to look at Diggs’ numbers and it was better than I remembered. He did well for himself in those 8 games that he played while sharing targets with Collins and Dell, two young and exciting WRs in their own right. It’s worth noting Dell missed 1 game in Week 4 and Collins missed Diggs’ final 3 games Weeks 6-8. In that Week 1-8 stretch, Diggs served as the team’s WR2 behind Collins who was having a monster start to the season until his own injury, and Diggs stepped in to the WR1 role in his absence.

Nico Collins: 5 g, 45 tgt, 32 rec, 567 yds, 3 TD
Stefon Diggs: 8 g, 64 tgt, 47 rec, 496, 3 TD
Tank Dell: 7 g, 38 tgt, 24 rec, 229 yds, 2 TD

Even with these two receivers, along with Dalton Schultz and Joe Mixon who also took their share in the passing game, Diggs was on a 17 game pace of 100 rec, 1,054 yds, and 6 TD. It was evident up until the injury that the guy could still play. How he looks after his recovery remains to be seen. But I could see a world where he performs with the Pats at a similar pace, albeit with a much larger share of the targets.

I remember Trevon being very vocal about something that happened in Buffalo and wanting him to get out of there.

Your right twin... Josh McDaniels is the only hope for polk and baker.. if they can't show something under Josh then they won't be in the league long. But I like that.. diggs, Aiyuk, pop, boutee. I think tour right.. the 3rd for judon for Aiyuk... 49ers are rebuilding and need to clear cap space.

Offense:

Maye

Hunter
Diggs
Douglas
Henry
Stevenson/Day 2 rookie

Rd 1 Rookie trade up
Strange/Robinson
Bradbury
Onwenu
Moses

Defense:

Landry
Barmore
Williams
White

Spillane
Bentley/Gibbens

Gonzalez
Davis
Jones

Dugger
Peppers

That would probably be the best patriots roster since 2018.

Good lord no. You must not know about his "Me! Me! Me!" fits of pique that set him spiraling out of Buffalo. Here's a refresher:

A hot-headed competitor can be tolerated and worked with, selfish stat hounds who don't care about being a "me-first" distraction, not so much. But again, Vrabel is a trustworthy judge for what Diggs may or may not bring to the table.
Back to back 4-13 doesn’t allow you to say we are better than that. Having by the worst Wr group in the NFL is worse than having a good Wr who wants the ball thrown to him.
You may like losing with nice guys, but I’m tired of it.

I like this far better than Cooper Kupp.

Hopefully Digg's approach and attitude would rub off on our soft young receivers.

When you are on a losing team, you have every right to “speak up” “complain” even as far as you can make a scene. However, when you are on a winning team, and you still do all that ****, you are a problem that more time then not is detrimental to the team.

Diggs has shown time and time again he complains regardless. Like someone mentioned earlier. If he signs here, it needs to be completely incentive based With the understanding he needs to STFU and no one really cares about how he feels or what he accepts. If he’s a problem, he can find a new team.
Having terrible WRs is detrimental to a team.

Our WR room doesn’t give us the right to say we are too good for a talented guy because he complained.
Sure let’s tell him we think he’s a **** and despite being worlds better than anyone we have, we are too good for him so he has to be paid peanuts plus incentives. Then he can go sign somewhere else out up over 1000 yards and we can have Maye throw to 8 yards a game Polk and never develop.
We can get a high pick again next year and hold our head up high that we did what’s important and made sure we did f allow a good player who might complain to mess us up by improving the team

So after Nico Collins' 2nd season in the league, in which he had less catches, yards and TDs than Boutte in year 2, it was supposed to be obvious to everyone that he would have 80 catches, 1300 yards and 8 TDs in year 3?

And no. No. No. No. I'm not comparing the two players and hinting at Boutte having a similar trajectory. And of course we need to bring in better WRs. But I disagree with the "they are who they are" mentality when Collins is a great example of what can happen to a player when a football team is vastly improved around him.

Collins didn't shy away from dangerous passes like he's afraid of being hit.

Will that be part of Boutte's growth?

If not he's closer to gone than 1300 yards.

If he signs here, it needs to be completely incentive based

Incentive based for games played.

Why base his pay on statistics? It only creates conflict.

He'll be fine, if healthy.

Anyone complaining about diggs at this point is an idiot. He’ll be our #1 for a year or two. Make wr less of a requirement in round 1 or 2 of draft. Help our young receivers. Definitely be Mayes first option.
He has to be Mayes first option or Maye will be on the sidelines with him getting verbally raped like Allen did his last year with the team. Dude is a year older (31..32 in Nov)coming off a torn ACL but everyone thinks he will play like its 2023. Same age as Kupp who is considered by most on here as washed up.

I don't like the dude, he is a diva. If he comes I hope he looks something like his old playing self and not a soon to be 32 year old coming off a major injury which is probably the case. I also hope Vrabel tells him your not going to go scream at Maye between series demanding the ball. The dude would be nothing more than a place holder and we don't need him negatively impact the growth of our promising QB.

I think that's fair.. 25m for 2 years??

I used to think the same think. However there was more into the situation with diggs. In Buffalo he had those passionate outburst becuase Allen wasn't seeing the field at times and diggs knew how good Allen could be. Josh Allen became who he is with diggs there. I feel like diggs could have a similar impact for Drake.

McDermott isn't the type of coaching personality that Vrabel is. Vrabel isn't going to stand for any BS. However diggs has been an all pro, top 5 WR in the game during his career. Even at 31 on an ACL he could vastly help the entire offense.

What he did last season against us was just diggs doing diggs things.. as he's been his whole career.
