Not sure of the exact definition but in the NFL they seem to call a player a veteran if he's been around for a couple of years.
Nah he's fine as a backup for a lot of teams.debatable about being an adequate backup
I could envisage a Moe Lewis scenario i.e. Purdy gets poleaxed and Mac leads them to a Lombardi and greatness. Joshing aside, Purdy was a nobody in college. Mac won a Natty. Yes, Mac had decent receivers but so does Purdy. We'll see. If Purdy gets injured, we could see a semi-successful Mac-attack in San Fran.
Seems like after Mac got the Matt Patricia and Joe Judge experience in the Shanahan offense, somehow he decided it was best to try the real thing….It's fun to rag on Mac, but the truth is - if he were picked by the 49ers originally, I bet he would be a decent starter.
Just as productive as Jimmy G. So, not great, but workable in that offense.

i know but that seem like a bit of a stretchNot sure of the exact definition but in the NFL they seem to call a player a veteran if he's been around for a couple of years.
Yup. Shanahan always wanted him but I heard he was talked out of it and decided to take Trey Lance instead.
Lance was a complete disaster. This is Shanahan's chance to get the girl he wanted at the dance a few years ago.
I would sell my body for that kind of moneyOne who gets $5M guaranteed just for showing up to work.
Nice gig if you can get it.
