I tend to doubt that Russell Wilson would stop either team from drafting a QB in the first round.

Maybe, but look at the two top QBs.

Would you like your team to use their top pick on one of this year’s QBs?

Whether Ward or Sanders are a top 2-3 pick isn't the point though. Wilson would be like Jakobi Brissett was for Drake Maye. A stop gap while the rookie got acclimated to the NFL.

How does that look?

Hey, Cam, here's the deal. We like you when you're on, but you're a lazy eff and you take big swaths off. Since your not professional, here's a wicked incentive laden contract. We ain't paying you to go thru the motions, but if you perform, you'll make bank.
See i would respect a guy that said that, more then getting smoke blown up my ass then being offered a crap contract that lets me know what they actually think of me. I know its not for everyone but one of the things i loved hearing about Bill was "tells it like it is, and you always know exactly where you stand with him" i wish more people were tough but fair

If I had no qb I would.

I gotta think the Giants have an advantage over the Browns for Russell Wilson's services since there is already a vacant private dressing room that the Jets had for Aaron Rodgers for the previous two seasons.

I guess the 7th round pick was just too much for patriots to trade.
He is not coming to Patriots. He wants another ring
If pats were seriously interested they would have handed over a 7th
It’s not the 7th round pick, it’s that the Patriots don’t think he was worth his current salary. Or what was his salary prior to the Rams cutting him a few minutes ago.

Well, yeah, I mean, the man is 73. Probably has a couple snaps in him still.
Hahaha. What I meant was he played at a time when guards were more crucial to the offense. Lots of power runs, Iso’s, and pulling. Less pass blocking.

Now Larry Allen was a freak who you could insert at any time in NFL history and he’s be the most dominant player on the field.

That said, I saw Allen play. Hannah was before my time so I’m just going on old film and what I know of that era. Maybe Hannah was more special than I’m aware.

I was 5 when Hannah retired.

I also might have a bias in believing the Pars sucked ass pre-Bledsoe/Brady because I became a fan in 1997 and could be attaching “good player on a garbage team” fallacy to Hannah’s career.

Let the bidding war commence.

Interesting. So they could get right up against the cap until June 1 then use the cap savings to cover 52/53, practices squad, on season stuff etc.
Smart move. Rams are a smart franchise.
