We established earlier in the thread that incentives for individual OL performance are not permitted. The closest option is "team sacked allowed", which is based on how the entire team did - not just the single player. It's unlikely they'll use that, beyond perhaps a very small incentive. Playing time, roster bonuses, reporting bonuses, weight targets are all much more sensible.
Maybe the Dolphins had that back in the day and that's why Ingonito bullied that Martin guy lol

Off-topic, but apparently that never even happened. Martin came out recently and said he made it all up to protect his own job and keep them from cutting him.

Yeah I actually saw that and that's why I had the reference in mind but one thing I'll never do is let facts stop me from getting a joke off haha

I’ll be honest, just thought about having this WR group

1. Hunter
2. Kupp
3. Douglas
4/5. Hollins/Bouttee/Polk/Baker

I like it.

If they don’t get Robinson because he doesn’t want incentive clauses then F him. Yes Cam, your ass is fat.
Since Marrone knows him very well
I would be good with not getting him because that would mean he suspect
If we get him on whichever type contract then I will feel a little more at ease for same reason

I have to think the incentive-based contract was either suggested by or approved by Marrone.

These are the type of players we should be looking at now in waves. Young player with some physical tools at a position of need. He becamse a starter for WAS in 2022 and into 2023 but then he got hurt and last year they had a scheme switch so, combined with him coming back from injury, he got passed up. But a team like us with still a lot of openings should be bringing in guys like this in WAVES so hopefully some of them stick and end up being developmental success stories. That's how you prop up the bottom and middle of your roster without overallocating resources to it.

I'm not saying he wouldn't be a solid add, but I think people really need to temper their expectations here. Kupp really isn't all that good anymore. Is he best WR? Yes. Does he change the statement that we don't currently have a WR who should be higher than 3rd on a good depth chart? Not at this stage of his career, he doesn't. And he's not even a good complimentary skill set to the guys we do have.

Watch the Bills.
And this may sound crazy but the Eagles.
also Chargers

I wouldn't do more than a 2 year deal. Just load it up with incentives.

Looking at CLE's depth chart, they don't have a starting caliber CB opposite Denzel Ward or starting caliber WR opposite Jerry Jeudy. Abdul Carter has been a popular pick for them, but there was also speculation Myles Garrett would be traded and now they extended him.

I wouldn't be surprised if the chatter starts that Hunter moves ahead of Carter for CLE.

Not sure that would fly with him to come here. If a deal is loaded up with incentives, is this really a great place to hit them? Still a bad OL that might force the team to run more so the QB doesn't get killed. As encouraging as Maye looks, still only a 2nd year guy who didn't post great numbers last year. No complimentary receivers to (and this is particularly important for a slot type like Kupp) open up space for you to get open by drawing attention. it just doesn't seem like a good situation for him to come in and earn those incentives you're lacing his deal with.

Can not count on hunter being available. Get Aiyuk.
Hunter will also want to play CB. Not sure he will be happy only playing WR

I think it depends on whether Cleveland gets Kirk Cousins (or someone else) as QB.
