Red zone monster?

Good grief. he had 8 tds last year, and 50% of them came against new mexico - a mid west conference team - in the first game of the year.
Again, envision a situation where this WR1 talent has Drake Maye throwing him the football instead of puny 5’10 noodle armed Noah Fifita.

The film demonstrates T-Mac as being a more athletic version of Drake London. Would you want that on your team? Or a left guard?

Don’t worry, I’m sure soda pop Douglas will elevate Mayes game to the next level lol

Ok Mr White Knight, but just so you know this rhetoric ‘Tet another Harry’ drivel is being spread around this forum like wildfire. The sad thing is most of these posters haven’t even watched film of Tet, otherwise they wouldn’t say it.

On film, Tet displays YAC ability that Harry could only dream of, and his 2.5” height & length advantage combined with the massive disparity in athleticism is the reason Tet is elite at jump balls while Harry is below average. Should I go any further?
So, I'm a "Mr. White Knight" because I told you that calling people Fools and Idiot's because they disagree with you is not acceptable. This isn't about McMillan. This is about your attitude towards others. As far as being a 'White Knight", I was born and raised in the inner city parts of Lynn, raised by Scottish Grandparents (one who fought in WWII), lived in the Glasgow area for 4 years before moving back to Lynn, was a Prior-Service Marine and Professional Armed Body Guard, Professional Pilot, and flew Search and Rescue Missions for the Coast Guard Auxiliary. I'm not a 'Snowflake" or easily offended. I'm just telling you to STOP calling people unacceptable derogatory names because they disagree with you. This conversation is over.

Nice, my wife and her family grew up in the inner city parts of Lynn. Very proud people.

He's just following the Drake London blueprint, his closest comp. I think we'd all be happy if Drake London were in a Patriot uniform.

Tier 2 - Impact Rookie with WR1 Potential

A tier two receiver could be Batman but is best cast as a high-end Robin (example: Tee Higgins to Ja'Marr Chase). These are projected top-15 draft picks.

2. Tet McMillan, Arizona

Projected Role: X/Big Slot, Pro Comparison: Drake London

Although he's not a blue-chip receiver prospect as we saw in last year's top-10, McMillan still has an enticing profile as a fluid and flexible big-bodied receiver standing at 6-5, 210 pounds. McMillan is an above-average separator and route-runner for his size, while he can also win with an enormous catch radius and excellent body control.

McMillan can play above the rim like a center in basketball, but his smoothness as a route-runner makes him a high-end prospect. McMillan has very good start-stop quickness to snap off comebackers/stop routes/digs when running the vertical route tree. The Arizona product also adds value by flexing inside the slot, where his speed is a problem for linebackers and safeties. There's some juice there after the catch as well, and at his size, it'll take some effort to get him on the ground.

McMillan's routes sometimes lack explosiveness, and his top-end speed to stack corners on the outside is only average. His size and fluidity are enough to project him as an immediate contributor, but McMillan's ceiling is lower than a typical top-five pick due to those play-speed factors.

As coaching legend Dante Scarnecchia said, when you're drafting in the top five, the adage is that you draft players who sack the quarterback or score touchdowns.

So why the hell would we draft a gator armed guard at 4th overall?

To make sure we aren't giving up 50+ sacks anymore.

Cant score if the qb is getting bashed.
Cant score if the line is coughing up 41 penalties

build the line, the rest will follow

Well, he also said arm length is an overrated metric.

Elite athleticism with elite tape is usually a good combo.

In previous responses to you, I cussed at you (quite severely). I apologize for doing so. I try not to cuss outside of the online world, and try to do the same regarding online behavior. And to anyone else that reads this, if during a heated argument I did so to anyone else, I also apologize. I'm usually successful at restraining such language, but at the end of the day, I'm just a flawed human being like everyone else. It doesn't change the general message of what I was trying to convey to you, but I could have done so without the cussing. I'm not apologizing because anyone from PATSFANS.COM asked me to (or anyone else for that matter). I should do a better job of keeping such language to myself. And I felt that an apology was required on my part.

And on at least 3 of his TDs the CB in coverage fell down.

He may not play like Harry, but I don't need that comparison to not like him.

I'm going to take an unpopular stance. But I've watched the video and I think T-Mac is worth the pick at #4.

This is with the assumption that both Andre Carter and Travis Hunter are GONE by then and we can't trade down for good compensation.

To me T-Mac is the proposition of what if a guy the size of Gronk played WR for us. He becomes an instant safety blanket for Drake Maye. He's a huge weapon in the redzone, no CB is gonna outjump him down there. And he does an excellent job of coming back to the football and helping his QB in the tapes that I've seen. And yes some of his big plays are on busted coverages, but it's still a talent to make yourself available to seize those opportunities.

I think the mismatches that T-Mac creates on offense will at some point demand double teams for shorter DBs to contend with him and that will open up the field for others. For this reason I believe T-Mac is a better pick for us at #4 than a guard with stubby arms or a talented RT. Let's ARM Drake Maye with a genuine weapon. I can see T-Mac turning into a WR1 for us.

After taking T-Mac at #4, then I try to trade into bottom of the 1st to take Simmons. WR1 and LT solved.

If you want Tet now is your chance to make it count...

I dont think this applies to Tet. He doesn't "play like Jane." On film, he was everyone's WR1. He doesn't work out, and now he's sliding. He's got the film and production. You just didn't get to see him work out in his underwear.

I'm not making the argument for him at 4. Just a general argument.
LOL. I always enjoy it when fans state opinions as fact. I REALLY enjoy it when fans make obviously false statements and still try to pass them off as facts. He absolutely is not "everyone's WR1 on film". You lose all credibility when you may absurd assertions like that.

I had no interest in McMillan at 4 even before he surprisingly decided to participate in any drills at either the combine or his pro day and now I'm not sure I would take him in the top 10. He clearly has an overinflated opinion of himself, if he thinks that he is such a flawless prospect that he doesn't have to go through any testing or on-field drills before the draft.

Tet and his agent know damn well that there are questions about his straight line speed. At his size, he wouldn't have to run sub-4.5 in order to put those questions to rest but if he ran a 4.55+ that would almost certainly impact his draft position. The fact that he isn't running a 40 before the draft suggests that he knows that his 40 time is only going to hurt him, based upon his private workouts.

I don't know how anyone can watch those clips and think "explosive athlete/mover". I see a dude who runs good routes and whose size overwhelms DBs from second and third tier programs who will never sniff a 53 man roster in the NFL.

Build the line up through FA and mid rounds in the draft. Plenty of capable guys. Over drafting for will friggin Campbell at 4 overall is asinine. You don’t draft a guard at 4 overall over freakishly athletic generational talents like Hunter or Carter.

You'll probably have to trade above the Texans at 25 now.

I'm not asking for a guard. I want a LT... You casting aspersions at Will Campbell trying to denigrate him as only a "mere guard" doesn't make him a "guard" ... If the only way you can make your point is to do that, well, that says a lot about the strength of your argument.

What does the tape show you? It shows that he gets the job done versus the best competition in College Football... At Left Tackle.

The idea of building the line through Free Agency, through mid round draft picks? I gotta ask... Have you been paying attention for the last 6 years? That is exactly what we have been doing... And the results? Well the culmination of that experiment were on full display this past year... The results? Our Line has been described as the "worst offensive line" in the NFL...

Whats the definition of insanity? Doing the same thing over and over, expecting different results... You sure that is the position you want to advocate?

and I will add if the "Guard" is good enough, you do take him at 4....

Every single analyst had him at #1.

He was ranked #1 and he went first in mocks.

You could argue Hunter, but most have expressed they see him as a corner first. If you want to argue semantics about he's wr2 on some boards because Hunter is ranked 1 in some, that's fine.

But until the combine, McMillan was the top non Hunter wr on every website you looked at. Prior to the combine, you're judging based on what you see watching him.

As for the rest of your post all I have to say is - Drake London. The exact same situation.
