Ignorant statement. Go watch film of Tet
I have. He might be great, he might not (same holds true of most players regardless of draft position). You can disagree, but calling me ignorant makes you a ****ING CLASSLESS *******!!!

Based on what game tape?

You sound like a fool with this statement
Stop insulting people by calling them ignorant or fools. Disagreeing is fine. CUT THAT ******** RIGHT NOW!!! Additionally, Pape doesn't need anyone to defend her. That being said, she's a good egg and your response to her is gutter-level pond-scum and generally classless.

Drake London did the same thing pre draft.

Please judge the man based on his play on the field and not whether or not you would want him to date your daughter.

Most high character/choir boys STINK at wide receiver. The Diva personalities usually perform at a pro bowl level. Deal with it
As stated for me it’s a concern that he is not doing the workout for his pro day after not doing so at the Combine, but I am high on Tet as a possible fit for the Pats. The Drake London thing is not a disparaging remark from me, I think London is excellent even if he is not at the same level perhaps as a Jefferson or Chase.

I am not aware of character issues with him and agree there have been plenty of guys with spotty records who were great assets to their teams. LT comes to mind.

Honestly I’m OK to trust the Pats to make their own judgement on Tet. Just because his workout numbers may not be made public, it doesn’t mean the Pats won’t know them.

stepped on someone toes apparently... didn't mean to trigger you ray ray... wasn't my intention to melt any snowflakes today... my bad...

so, in regards to what you asked about... guy is playing against a lot of inferior dbs... the majority of his highlights hes wide open... and when he does have to post up and grab a ball, its usually against one db...

and when i watch his tapes, he has some speed, but isn't fast and his route running is lazy/sloppy at times... and when you look at games like Colorado, when he does go up against decent dbs he disappears... can't create that separation... That sure as **** reminds me of N'Keal Harry.

I also question a guy who is not going to do any workouts... he skipped the combine, and is skipping his pro-day... Diva attitude before he's caught one pass in the NFL... Thats a pass for me.

Is that good enough an answer for you?

Well, id counter that I disagree with a lot of those. We can have varying opinions of course.

But, most of his highlights are not wide open. Most are of him in contested catch situations, since those are standout plays and probably his best attribute.

Sure, he's gotten wide open on some plays. Isn't creating separation something you want to see? Especially since hes doubled a lot. I know, the competition talent level is next. For starters, how big of an issue is that? Plenty of guys from small schools have outplayed guys from bigger schools. But, McMillan did play against some talented corners. I dont have time to go all down the entire list but Jacob Parrish(2x) is going to be a day 2 pick this year. Travis Hunter(2x) is going to be a top 5 pick this year(and for the record, the film is out there - Hunter couldn't guard McMillan without holding him). Decamerion Richardson was a 4th rounder last year. Mekhi Blackmon a 3rd. He went up against Christian Gonzalez as well. Those are guys just off the top of my head after a glance against his opponents. I'd bet there are quite a few more corners selected that he's faced off against. No he didn't play in the SEC but most guys don't. Jayden Higgins and Travis Hunter played in the same conference thr past 2 years, so if its a knock on TMac, it's a knock on them.

I'm disappointed McMillan won't work out. I thought he could've really locked in a possibility at 4. Depending on how the rest of FA goes, I really don't think hes in the discussion at 4. But i do think it's ridiculous to push McMillan down to WR3 or WR4, or outside the top 20. Maybe down to 8-15, i get it. He's left a little doubt. But you don't knock a guy that much because he didn't work out. It's not like he worked out poorly. He's just following the Drake London blueprint, his closest comp. I think we'd all be happy if Drake London were in a Patriot uniform.

Disagreeing is one thing, but calling someone a Fool (Pape) and then Ignorant (Me), is unacceptable.

You and I have very different definitions of "wide open" and "contested catches" then.

You want to get him in the second? I'll bite on that... But there is no way in the world he is worth the 4th overall pick.

T-Rex at left tackle all day long if we are stuck at 4 and can't trade back.

For me its very simple, a guy with attributes that in theory translate to all pro, without also having the production and film to back it up, is one of the biggest red flags a prospect can wave. Seriously how many looks like Tarzan plays like Jane horror stories do you need before that lesson gets learned? Trade down to the teens and get a 2nd this year and a first next year i'd consider him but any higher then that? Hell no.

What is a next sop?

I dont think this applies to Tet. He doesn't "play like Jane." On film, he was everyone's WR1. He doesn't work out, and now he's sliding. He's got the film and production. You just didn't get to see him work out in his underwear.

I'm not making the argument for him at 4. Just a general argument.

Tet over T-Rex all day long. Hell no to a future guard at 4. I’d take my chances on the receiver and pray.

Of course the more logical move would be to trade back as I’m not sure either guy is worth the 4th pick.

Then take off your rose colored glasses! The film clearly shows Harry and Tet are NOTHING alike. Tet is miles ahead of Harry

Ok Mr White Knight, but just so you know this rhetoric ‘Tet another Harry’ drivel is being spread around this forum like wildfire. The sad thing is most of these posters haven’t even watched film of Tet, otherwise they wouldn’t say it.

On film, Tet displays YAC ability that Harry could only dream of, and his 2.5” height & length advantage combined with the massive disparity in athleticism is the reason Tet is elite at jump balls while Harry is below average. Should I go any further?

Nearly a quarter of his production came in one game versus New Mexico, granted overall if you just look at the totals and his rank of 3rd in the nation it sounds good but Boutte went off one game as a freshman and is still leaving off the reputation. Tet reminds me a lot of Clowney in that he looks the part, you watch a couple highlights he wows you doing things no one else can do, but the consistency and living to the expectations just isn’t there. Pretty sure Hunter won the Biletnikoff so he was WR1 in the majority’s book. Call me scarred from N’Keal if you have to but I see major question marks that I want no part of in the top 10.

Yes. Add that he gets shut down frequently.

So does Mike Evans. He’ll also win you games with 11 catch 220 yard performances. Or do you prefer the soda pop 6 catches for 55 yards every week?

Tet is a red zone monster with top tier athleticism, he is taller and longer than any DB, he has huge hands, and he can jump off the charts. A complete mismatch. When he’s in the open field, his YAC is phenomenal especially for a man of his size he’s very agile.

Also, do you ever wonder if perhaps his quarterback SUCKING (picture Drake Maye throwing to him instead of his glass armed QB), him having ZERO help (allowing teams to double/triple team him) contributed to some of these down games? It’s actually incredible he still managed to put up huge numbers with a bad QB and no additional WR help next to him.

I’m astonished that we have the 4th overall pick and you don’t want to draft an elite athlete…instead preferring as you call it a “T rex” with 2nd round measurable for a tackle who will most likely be shifted to guard, a position you would never draft at 4th overall.

With Tet you’re getting an extremely versatile WR with off the charts height and length. He has elite ball tracking ability at any level, has very natural hands and will catch anything, has the physicality and toughness in the RZ that Harry could only dream of, and he can win at all 3 levels of the field with vastly underrated YAC ability and impressive technique in his route running finding the holes in coverage .

For those concerned with Tetairoa McMillan’s separation ability:

Here’s how his open-target rate against single coverage this year compared to other top WR prospects:

Egbuka: 75.7%
Golden: 62.5%
McMillan: 62%
Hunter: 61.4%
Burden: 60%

Not as big of an issue as it’s made out to be.

As someone already mentioned, the best athlete in the draft (Hunter) repeatedly held Tet the entire game

Red zone monster?

Good grief. he had 8 tds last year, and 50% of them came against new mexico - a mid west conference team - in the first game of the year.
