Also, Harry was NEVER hailed for his yac ability his college game tape was awful in this area. Harry was shorter at 6’2 3/8”, had small hands and a case of the dropsies, and Harry was stiff rigid and uncoordinated as an athlete. A lot of draft boards had Harry pegged as a 2-3rd rounder and certainly no higher than a late first.

Are you sure about that?

“N’Keal is a big man who can do a lot of different things for you,” Cardinals GM Steve Keim said of the local product who worked out privately for the team last week. “One thing that excites me about him is his ability to run after the catch. For a big, long athlete, he’s got unique skills after the catch, as well as tracking and adjusting to the football down the field.”

Ouch.

We all accept that Harry ended up being a terrible choice but that doesn't mean that you can try to rewrite history to suit your argument. Harry was not a surprise pick at 32. He was always expected to go in the late first or early second. He was as high as 21st on the consensus board and ended up at 36.

Anyone who said "Who??" when the Pats picked him neither followed college football nor the college draft prospects, because he was a top five WR prospect in virtually every ranking. There may have been extremely rare NFL draft media guys who ranked him as a late 1st or 2nd round pick but you are just blatantly making **** up when you state that "many draft boards" had him as a second or third round pick. Stop it. Multiple sources stated that Arizona was ready to select him at pick 33, if the Patriots passed on him.

He needs weapons. McMillan is more like cutlery. A nice butterknife in the drawer. Useful for a few things but never going to be dangerous.
That’s tough to say, given I have him pegged as a more athletic version of Drake London, and London just had a monster season

As many of us have noted, we have no idea where you're getting the idea McMillan is athletic (relative to being a #1 type NFL receiver). His lack of athleticism seems to be the main concern with most draft profiles on him. An inability to get a lot of separation, lack of speed, and inconsistency in his route running. All those things point to him relying on a bigger frame to make plays and not winning because he is a better athlete.

I’m getting it from the film/game tape. Who is “we” because a lot of nfl experts have T-Mac in their top 10 draft board. When you say “we”, I think you mean the extremely disgruntled patriots fans who have PTSD from Harry and a personal grudge against any WR that they resemble a diva. Because again, the rest of the NFL nation rates T-Mac very highly, many on their top 10 draft boards.

Compared to last years top 4 WRs, I have T-Mac ranked in the middle behind MHJ, Nabers and in front of Odunze and BTJ. I don't think people realize how rare and insane it is to move the way he can at that size. His routes are linear and he's never going to shake CBs out of their shoes but his stop-start and break at the top of the route is top tier. I can see the concern for level of competition but there's nuances in his game I see that supersedes those concerns; he knows how to read and attack coverages, his spatial and field awareness is elite. He's way more well rounded than people give him credit for. I think he's a 3-level WR and can line up at all three WR spots. His game is so much more nuanced and mature than just the size and ball skills. It's pretty crazy to me how some have him as the 4th WR in the class, which is asinine. In this draft class, his clock should start at the 4th pick and anyone who grabs him from that point on is going to be rewarded in a major way.

I’m personally going Travis Hunter at 4, but I see the potential in T-Mac.

Bottom line, McMillan is a good receiver. His 40 time doesn’t matter that much. Hell, the guy we all drooled over and hoped we would get in free agency, Tee Higgins, ran a 4.59 forty, and he turned out alright. McMillan is extremely similar to Higgins, and even a little faster. Just watch pre draft video of both. You’ll see the similarities.

This is a copy/past job but how about Chimere Dike instead?

Guy played at a school that doesn't pass much, then transferred to Florida and increased his production.

Then he went to the Senior Bowl and had a great week there according to coaches and scouts.

Then he went to the combine and showed out. He has good size and speed, which is what the Patriots lack... more importantly they don't have to burn a first to get the guy.

Chimere Dike
6'1" 196 lbs
4.34 Forty
38.5" Vert
128" Broad
6.82 Cone
4.27 Shuttle

Give me that guy ^ in the middle rounds.

Or as a UDFA, a market of which this front orifice also needs to take advantage.
