The most blatant example of tampering that I can recall. You don't get rid of your starting QB days before the start of the free agency tampering period without already having another starting option in your hip pocket.

Tampering really only matters if you are talking to a player who his current team is trying to resign. Yes teams can speculate, but they pretty much all do it. If Minnesota knew they were going to release him, they really aren’t going to file a complaint. Matter of fact, it’s in their best interest to have teams tamper with darnold. The early negotiating often leads to a player getting a bigger bag before the money starts to run out. The more money Darnold gets, the higher comp get they’ll get next year.

That trade would of fixed so many problems for the Pats, could of traded the 4th pick to get the picks back and wouldn't have to reach for a need at LT.

Don't love the scenario that's playing out where, we're at 4 and we feel like we're forced into taking Campbell because there's no other LT option and we're desperate.
