In an about an hour and a half NFL teams can "legally" negotiate with free agents, though it is obvious there has been plenty of that going on through back channels already.

I thought that rather than having a new thread for every single player that signs with a team other than the Patriots, we could consolidate all those breaking news stories and discussions here.

EDIT: we're going to go with one mega-thread, rather than one thread for the Pats and one thread for the rest of the NFL.

These sites are also running 2025 Free Agency Trackers:

Since the start of the "legal tampering" period when deals essentially start getting announced begins in about 20 minutes, I am starting up a new thread to start us off fresh. Please post any free agency-related news here, whether that is a Pats signing, an interesting signing by a different team, a rumor, etc.

If we do have a confirmed Pats signing/trade/etc, we will want to start a new thread to discuss that acquisition specifically as well.

Thanks everyone and, as our most favorite ex-HC once said, let's start "burning some cash"!

@Ross12 , Can you list the Do's and Dont's in this thread ? CAn wishlists or hopeful actions be part of thread or is it limited to posting of news and commentary ( positive and negative ) on the player signing or non sign.

Stidham had expressed hope he could be Denver's starter in 2024. He entered training camp in a three-way battle for the job with first-round pick Bo Nix and Zach Wilson. That competition was quickly whittled to Stidham and Nix before any preseason games, and Payton then named Nix the starter just before the regular season began.

Nix went on to start all 17 games for Denver, which finished 10-7 and advanced to the playoffs for the first time since 2015. Stidham, whom Payton credited for helping Nix's development, played just 14 snaps and did not attempt a pass all season.

Despite the lack of playing time, Stidham consistently has said he believes he can be a starter in the league.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports it’s a two-year deal worth $12 million with $7 million guaranteed.

This is an open commentary thread, no worries there. The thread regarding confirmed transactions that @DaBruinz maintains and is pinned up top is where we'll worry about that.

Let’s Do This!!!

Running back Aaron Jones is re-signing with the Minnesota Vikings on a two-year, $20 million deal that includes $13 million guaranteed.

Jones signed a one-year contract worth $7 million with the Vikings last spring after turning down a pay cut from the Green Bay Packers. That made Jones the latest in a long line of Packers castoffs to join their divisional rival, a group that also includes quarterback Brett Favre, receiver Greg Jennings and placekicker Ryan Longwell.

Knowing Jones had endured a series of injuries in recent years and was approaching his 30th birthday, Vikings coach Kevin O'Connell initially planned to use him in a committee system. But Jones quickly ascended to a feature back role and went on to have one of the most active and productive seasons of his career.

Lol at Jaycee Horn.

Bummer, I thought he was going to slip through the cracks.

Anyone else's Twitter crap out right as free agency is about to start? Lol

Twitter has been acting up all day.. Seems like it's getting hit with DDOS attacks that are tying things up..

Some more news from yesterday:

Same here, RB’s are a steal in free agency. But this is definitely a position they can get with their 2nd pick if they want to. I would love Hampton, but Manx also got me interested in Quinshon Judkins, who should be there if Hampton isn’t.

Can we put the word "Patriots" in the thread title to distinguish it a bit more from @jmt57 's thread?
