I would love signing both Williams and Onwuzurike. Their DL would be set for the next couple of years. Bring in one more high quality pass rusher and they would be really really nasty.

Much rather have Bobby Brown III from the Rams than Onwuzurike as Brown is a better against a run.

Before everyone comments about taxes and Metcalf, you should realize a couple things: only 8-9 games are taxed in the state and also, Pittsburgh has a 5% income tax over and above the state's 3% income tax. For regular people, living in Pittsburgh means a higher income tax than Massachusetts. For millionaires, there's a 2% savings living in Pitt over living in Mass, but again, that's only for 8-9 games.

This isn't a lot of money we're talking about. Money should not have been an issue in Metcalf's decision.

I would've certainly objected to that. Those early 2nds are really like late 1sts, sometimes more valuable even (because of the contract).

They gave up 2 picks and got back 2.

They moved down from a borderline day 1 slot in exchange for moving up in day 3.
