Before everyone comments about taxes and Metcalf, you should realize a couple things: only 8-9 games are taxed in the state and also, Pittsburgh has a 5% income tax over and above the state's 3% income tax. For regular people, living in Pittsburgh means a higher income tax than Massachusetts. For millionaires, there's a 2% savings living in Pitt over living in Mass, but again, that's only for 8-9 games.
This isn't a lot of money we're talking about. Money should not have been an issue in Metcalf's decision.
