DK Metcalf officially requests a trade (UPDATE: He's a Steeler)

Do you think the team will make the trade knowing he doesn’t want to be here?
They shouldn’t. Imagine his attitude after one or two more losing seasons. I do not think he is mentally tough enough to deal with that and be a team leader

I don’t think the team would execute a trade without being comfortable with his attitude and desire to be here.

Sounds like Patriots might be one of the best best offers, I know he wont end up here but I won’t know til it’s officially official.

You’d have to sign him with the expectation by the time the teams any good he’ll be 30 and HOPEFULLY be playing second to a number one the team signed.

DK is better than everybody we have here but to be honest his last three seasons don’t necessarily set the world on fire.

I wouldn’t trade a second for him. This team is in no position to trade draft capital. This team IS in a great position to overspend for a guy they want.

While I think $30m per is a massive overpayment for somebody who puts up DKs stats it makes a hell of a lot more sense to dump cash into him than give away and draft picks.

I wouldn’t do anything less than a third I think I’m fine with the trade eventually being Matthew Judon for DK Metcalf

I’d honestly rather save the pick for now and see if I can sign Godwin in the next couple days. If so, then ink a guy like Slayton as your outside man and you have a relatively well rounded total group. Not world beaters but should get the job done if the OL is in much better shape, with Godwin as the centerpiece a la Edelman/Welker.

Cold weather and no QB, either he didn’t really wanna be here at all costs or NE just is cheap and stingy.

So much for warm weather.

Pitt probably keeping Wilson now

All that is just negotiation, no professional athlete is leaving millions on the table for some weather.

He'd of come to the Pats and extended if he got the contract he wanted

NE will forever be cheap with Kraft.

Steelers and an emotionally unstable receiver? I’m sure that will go well.
pickens and dk in the same lockerroom ......yikes

edit: esp with no qb worth an ish. getting my popcorn.

So you can read his mind? Get out of here

So much for wanting a contender and warm weather.

So next season when DK finishes with 980 yards at 6 TDs you can say you dodged a bulket
