Ashton Jeanty @ 4?

Because he can’t get separation, and the goal is to reduce Mayes interceptions going forward, not having him throw into coverage all day. If they want a great red zone target they should trade back and take Warren. He’s bigger and much better than MacMillen.
I have Warren ahead of McMillen on my board but I question that he is "much better". McMillan is smart, does get separation (3rd best grade against man coverage) and has some of the best ball skills I've ever seen. Is he a traditional X? No. Is he a clear RZ threat and 3rd down threat. Yes.

Yeah I don't really get the hate for McMillan. Would we not want a receiver who would be deadly in the RZ?
Here comes Debby Downer

But have a look at his stat sheet. Half his TDs and a third of his yards came in the opener which was a laugher. 3 of the other 4 came in losses 2 of which were blowouts. Just saying wah wah! Lol

Ps - I just watched the WVU game and the DB fell so that was a gift TD. Lol

Tet's player comp is Drake London, who also didn't run the forty at the combine and pro day btw. London's stats in the NFL over 3 seasons? Over 3,000 yards, 241 receptions and 15 TDs. Tet would do something similar, or better, in this offense I have no doubt.

Luther Burden is right there with Bond and Golden for me.

Now do Tre Harris. 78% of his yardage came against Kentucky, Wake Forest, Georgia Southern, Middle Tennessee and Furman. As did all but 11 of his receptions and 5/7 TDs.

Manx, I think we agree on many of the prospects in this draft, but I’m out on MacMillen. I want receivers who get separation, and he had the most contested catches in college football. If I had to take a receiver at 4 I would take Mathew Golden over MacMilen. Same goes for Luther Burden.

what is your issue with Burden?
I think hed be great value in the third.
I don't have an issue with Burden - I was joking in response to all the hate McMillan's been getting. I would take Burden in a heartbeat at 38 because I think he'd cook in a McDaniels offense.

I'm less keen on Bond and Golden although Golden is fine as a mid-late first round pick.

4 - the best RB is useless behind a crap line.
I’m a believer that an elite RB can make a mediocre OL group look more than serviceable.
3. Jeanty had more yards after contact (1,733) than the next best RB, Omarion Hampton had total (1,660).
Sexy Manxy gets it.

There’s the next Walter Payton in this draft. Do you agree?

Calling me sexy means I agree with everything you say.

Walter Payton is my favourite RB of all time so I think that might be a bit of a stretch, but Jeanty is one the best RBs I've watched in CFB in the past decade. His contact balance is absolutely elite and his ability to break the big run is next level.

I also think Omarion Hampton is outstanding and would be a great fit for a Vrabel/McDaniels offense but there is a gap between Jeanty and Hampton. not as big a gap as there is to the rest of the field but it is there.

WP was the best football player I’ve seen not named TB.

Jeanty is being needlessly discounted because most people’s only exposure of him was the Penn State playoff game. He looked almost lacklustre. The British Isles spelling.

Aren't we worried about his size?

211lbs isn't terrible and I don't mind shorter RBs so long as they're not too short; lower centre of gravity, harder to tackle. Also, you see the lower centre of gravity and how it benefits him on tape. It would be nice to get him to 215 plus though.

I hear you. He’s thick.

Daniel Jeremiah said that we should take Jeanty at 4 if Hunter and Carter are gone. My biggest worry is our OL. I’m a huge Saquon fan. He was probably better as a receiver than runner in NY. I feel our lack of OL will really hurt his development. I also don’t think he’s the HR hitter Barkley is. Saquon hit big plays against OSU, Michigan and in Rose Bowl. Not sure Jeanty is that type of back. Ashton may actually be slightly better in run game. Maybe, a bit better run instincts.

I trade down if no Cater/Henry and draft Tyler Warren. Bigger WR at 38. Look what Gronk and AHern did for 2010 squad.
