We didn’t need another guard.

Generally for a Guard that would be rare

Rare because we ****ed that up for half a dozen years.
I'll tell ya vederian lowe has all pro potential.. said wolf when he tries to trade him for some Foxborough high jock straps...

gotta love the knee jerk reactions around here. nothing really changes ever
Thuney was considered the 12th best guard by PFF, he'll be 33 yo next year. Jenkins was ranked the 18th best guard and will be 27.
Thuney will also enter the last year of his contract and his due 16M, we shall see what contract Jenkins gets.
If we indeed pickup Jenkins we are effectively doomed. The sky will fall and we will all most likely die.
I love your post because this is how it will be all offseason. I need to quickly build a bunker so I am out of harms way when the skyfalls. lol

While I think Thuney is a better LG than Jenkins right now, I would prefer Jenkins over Thuney because of age and cost. I think Jenkins can be had for 4/48M. We need at least average OL play and Jenkins can provide that for a longer period. Yes please.

I think they will pay/overpay for guys but are hesitant to trade draft picks to do so. I agree with it especially when there are LG FA's that can provide slightly above average play and they won't cost draft picks.

I also think trading for a "#1" WR is not the route they should take. I know that I am in the minority, but as I have said several times, if Maye has more time before getting pressure on him he will find someone down field.
The only reason the offense showed some signs of being an actual NFL offense was solely due to when Drake took over. He had pressure in his face constantly. I agree and the forum would agree OT is the #1 priority. Essentially any FA OT would be better than what we have now.

People saying “the Chiefs are freeing up money to go after Stanley…!” But in reality they need to free up money just to attempt to keep their own free agents
They are still over the cap, even after trading Thuney. Now they certainly have a few options to restructure, none the least of which is Mahomes, to free up some cap space but I don't see them having tons of room.

I am OK with not getting Thuney but would like to see some EARLY trades by Wolfie
Or else my Wolf derangement syndrome will get worse

Bears and Commanders early trades signals their urgency to improve

More PTSD flashbacks to last years Wolf fiasco

No Guard isn’t a huge need, center, Tackle, WRs, DL, LBs, S, K, game breaking RB.
Tackles are a massive need, they have centers and guards.

Safety? They could use a free safety maybe but they have Dugger, Peppers and Schooler who really proved himself last season. They can always use a CB at free safety, maybe resign Jon Jones or another fast savvy vet and plug them in there.

Re-signing Joe Slye seems to be a no brainer at kicker, bring in some rookie competition to develop.

LB wouldn’t be a big need if they simply re-signed Christian Ellis, he had the 6th most solo tackles, 3rd most total, 4th most QB hits on the team despite only making 5 starts, he deserves a larger opportunity. Beyond that they need Bentley back healthy.

OT, DT, DE/OLB, CB…. the lines.

Thuney is certainly the better player right now but we want to protect Maye long term, bringing in a 33 yo for a year doesn’t accomplish much.

Yes, even at T he’s better than Lowe.

I don’t even want Thuney. I just want the Pats to sign and draft some legitimate NFL players.
Oh don't get me wrong.. Lowe sucks. But he's likely gonna stuck around as a PS/back up OT. For depth purposes. Thuney isn't a LT.. he was an all pro at his pos of G. We have to many Gs we need some OT'S

Truth, the Franchise Tag on Smith is 23.4M for a year. They need to get creative, according to to Spotrac they currently have 400K in space, but 95M in 2026.

Every player that doesn't go to the Patriots this off season will be seen as a miss.

As i speculated earlier, this offseason could end up being another disaster.
