The OTs need to be addressed via the DRAFT

Dillon Radunz

I have no idea who this kid is, but Vrabel will know him, and he's only 26. Sounds like he's more of what's here now, but what's out there for FAs?

Played every snap at RG in 2024. Has played ever position but Center on the O-line.. Only 3 full games at LT in his career.

We may have a shot Ravens are trying to decide over him or bekahri
the former packer David Bakhtiari who has played 13 games since 2021?
2021 - 1 game
2022 - 11 games
2023 - 1 game
2024 - 0 games

oof... I kinda know which way I'd go...

or is there a different guy?

That's my fault pape... type error Patrick Makari....is who they are deciding on or Stanley to resign.

From the link, "That's hardly a slam dunk, but there's a sentiment to try to make that happen. Some inside the league are projecting that deal to land somewhere between $21-23 million per year."

The Pats should float a 30 million/year figure to Stanley's agent. I'd do 3 years 90 million with 60 million guaranteed....just inflate the 3rd year salary...and we can cut him after two years and eat about 15 million in dead money.

I'm curious as to what you think about this Pape, just as a hypothetical: If knowing what we know now (obvious hindsight), if the Patriots had taken Maye like they did at #3 (GREAT CHOICE!!!), drafted only one more player like Braelon Allen (coming out of last years draft with just those 2 players, and traded this years #1 and whatever picks from last years draft to move into the #5 spot to take Joe Alt (now we have Maye and Alt), and we'd still have at least our 2nd through fourth Round picks in this draft (a long with all the cap money that we still have), would you have done that deal?

yes. In a heartbeat. and with hindsight it would have won the draft

Oh please don't get me twisted hype.. I'd absolutely love to have Stanley we need a starting level tackle.. someone we can put in and not worry about false starting and missed blocks. I agree we should float out your scenario. We have the spend the money so why not!!!

Vrabes sat him in Tenn... but he is an option

When you say that Vrabel sat him, are you referring to the 4 games in 2023? Or are you referring to 2022? In 2023, his first 3 games were at LG and he wasn't that good.. He was moved over to RT and his game showed significant improvement.

2021 - Took Snaps at LT, LG, RG, Jumbo TE, Special teams.
2022 - Took snaps at LG, RG, LT * injured in Mid-December. Tore his knee up.
2023 - Took a majority of his snaps at RT but also spent time at LG, RG, and LT.
2024 - Started 16 games at RG.

in 2023 at RT, he gave up 3 sacks, 1 hit, and 13 hurries in 8 games as a starter..

I think Radunz would be a good sub ala Brandon Gorin or Tom Ashworth.

Here's another one Vrabel will know. I know this is really scraping the barrel, but that's what FA is now.

@Pape

The Pats spent a 3rd round pick last year on a player who started his entire college career at RT, but practiced at both LT and RT those 4 years.. Wallace may only ever end up being a swing tackle/spot starter, but I think that he's got the potential to be a starting tackle in this league. That being said, the Pats need to make a decision with him. Either let him compete for the RT position or put him at LT and pit him against Lowe, but LEAVE him practicing at LT unless there is an injury.

Thanks Pape! I was expecting you and/or someone else to think that my wanting that was insane.

tbh, i don't remember... but I do think it was tackle related... read it awhile ago... and it might have been a thread on a titans message board

Hindsight says yes... If you asked me the day before the draft, im cannot say for certain i would have pulled the trigger on such a Brass Balls move... But you know what they say... Go Big or Go Home

Which there was plenty of last year.

So there were only two tags - Higgins and Smith:

It is relevant that someone is willing to pay a Guard over $23m - that speaks to a solid backup plan for Campbell. He'd be a big upgrade at LT over what we had last year even if he sometimes can't handle elite rushers. And then at some point you get a new LT and move him to guard, where his athleticism could shine in the run game.

You can draft guys but anybody outside the first day you might want to make sure you have veterans in place

While, I agree, there are many first rounders (especially OT's) that aren't starters as rookies.

Once the studs are gone, it is problematic to think that you have a starter.

Im thinking we should at least have a stopgap in place at LT heading into the draft. Its not ideal but Cam Robinson or another on a 2 year pact is better than v lowe.

Then you either take your tackle first or second round. If travis hunter is there at 4 i just can’t pass him up. I hope to land connerly or ersery at 38 or a trade up in that scenario. Otherwise trade down and Campbell is fine by me.

Agree with this . Not a big fan of Robinson but he can serve as a stopgap until they can fix it long term. I be would be in favor of trading up for Josh Conerly if need be.
