Jason LaCanfora: Pats really want Higgins "He's going to New England"

No we're not!!
If Deebo is worth a 5th, then Tee is worth a 4th. He's not worth #38. You can argue a third, based on age a productivity, but QBs are worth a 2nd, not WRs.

Randy freakin' Moss was a 4th. Don't overpay the kid AND overpay the Bungles.

You're gonna drop a load when Vrabel makes that Trade... don't forget to flush Steve.

Dangle the 3rd. 2nd rounder plus the $30m per year contract is a lot
Let’s hope Higgins is getting pissed from the disrespect.
I want to see some angry tweets from Tee.

We're really strapped against the cap like the Bengals.

He won't be it's guaranteed he's gonna win either way Tag or Trade.

If the situation gets bad to the point where he forces a trade, its possible he could be had for a 3rd. I think Id be in on this.

Otherwise hope he hits fa next year. It can wait if metcalf or another option doesn’t become available

The Bengals tagged him....

I tend to agree. Also the Bengals are going to want their cap space back quickly so they can use it. A second would seem too high especially 38. I'm ok with one of our 3rds though we do have to beat out other potential teams.

its either a long term deal or free agency next year for Higgins... can't see them tagging him a third time

Bengals in 2026.

Not saying he's worth #38, but this post seems a little outdated. Moss got traded for a 4th because he was 30, 3 years straight without a pro bowl, quit on his team and was seen as a malcontent, had a statistically poor year the season before, had a huge contract that teams were going to have to rework to fit him in. In absolutely no way shape or form should the Randy Moss trade serve as the basis for any comparison of a young, productive receiver in their prime because Randy Moss wasn't traded as one.

That same exact offseason that Randy Moss was traded for a 4th, Wes Welker was acquired for a 2nd rounder coming off of a 67 catch, 687 yards, 1 TD season and only having a 29 catch season before that. If you insist on clinging to old valuations, why not use this one? But if anyone suggested trading a 2nd for someone with that production (even adjusted up for more league wide passing) people here would have a conniption.

Rough life, huh? Being unhappy about getting paid 23.4m bucks. Sign me up for that level of disrespect.
For these players, it's not enough for some reason.

But I put up the laughing gif because it's a dumb move by the Bengals as this immediately cuts into their cap by over 50%. I wouldn't trade anything for him and just wait for the Bengals to either sign him to a long term deal quickly or they remove the tag. Signing him to a deal near Jefferson is going to kill their own market signing Chase who will command $40M.

If I'm a contending team, I'm stealing Hendrickson away from them.

My guess is that they are hoping to move him pretty quickly to recoup their cap dollars. They'll probably take a 3rd.
