320 lb. Mason Graham would have been a consideration at 4 (assuming Carter and Hunter are gone) although I'd take Campbell over him.

296 lb. Mason Graham? No way I'd take him at 4. You can probably count the number of elite NFL DTs in NFL history who weighed less than 300 on one hand.......Donald, Atkins, Randle, McCoy. The odds are against Graham being a game-changing defensive tackle at that size. If they trade down to the 7 to 10 range and he dropped to the Pats, he'd be an option in that range.

I don't know where because he only got measured today. There was a story from Greg Bedard about Campbell being measured in the past at 32 7/8.
So much misinformation out there. I think the 33 7/8 was from LSU so that might be an exaggeration in the player's favor by the school

If his arm length is in fact < 33in then as a LT that is a bit of a concern for sure.

I think his character and football intelligence will win him the pick but which position on the OL he takes is certainly in question.

Maybe a Cam Robinson move would be a good move.
You could move him around depending on how Campbell develops

The thing that concerns me is Campbell’s wingspan which is really low at 77”, a good 5” below the likes of Simmons and Banks.

I think Campbell is a LG now although I think he’ll be a terrific one. As a development LT I think they should consider Logan Brown or Charles Grant.

Looks like he’ll be a guard
I agree although more so as a result of his wingspan rather than his arms. The wingspan is very low at 77".

I have 3 principles for this draft.

#1. Never trade down unless someone is going after a QB and will give you a 2nd rounder AND a 1st rounder next year.
#2. You need to find that stud impact player who will make a difference THIS year.
#3. We already have a bunch of guards. Robinson, Onwenu, Sow, Strange, enough. Let Andrews, Andrews and Brown battle for the C position. This rules out a high draft pick on the OL given Campbell's short wingspan.

We're looking at Travis Hunter, Abdul Carter, Tet McMillan.

These are the ONLY 3 players that show unusual abilities you will not find elsewhere in the 1st round.

Now, Mason Graham might turn out to be fine, but gambling on a 6'2" 295 DT sounds like a big risk to me. There is simply no evidence he can hold up against NFL size guards. The top guards in the Big Ten weigh 290-310 pounds.

Your'e going to spend a 4th draft pick on a guy who is giving up 35 pounds to the player opposite him? He may well be the next Aaron Donald, and yes Donald was a super high draft pick, but it seems a bit of a gamble.

Really need Carter or Hunter to drop to 4. Outside that the value at 4 will be weak.
A lot of what strategy we take will depend on what happens in free agency/trades and what needs are filled there.
Johnson (CB) McMillan, Jeanty, Warren would be the only guys with a first-round grade I'd take going down to 6 or 8 and hate taking a RB there with such a deep rb draft. Tyler Warren becomes the Gronk/Kelce to Maye probably not a bad pick.
Did Banks measure? I expected his arms will be short as well.

No go on Campbell because of short arms, Graham is too light for DT, even Carter gives me size concerns, this just leaves me wanting Hunter even more.

And since he's probably going to 3 somehow I'm circling back to Tet.

This draft kind of sucks lol

Donald was not 300 lbs but was all muscle, 0% fat and super athletic. Dude was a cartoon character.

Is Banks even a first rounder. I've seen mocks without him?

Edit nevermind the one I was looking at had him going to bears at 11. Another around 20.

I would trade down if I get some later picks that would allow me to package with the current 2nd to trade up to the 20's. This assumes Carter and Hunter are gone. The next group of 3-4 are pretty similar ratings. I Would not go down past 8 in pretty much any scenario that could be offered.

Campbell reminds me of Peter Skoronski who people insisted could play tackle, then he went to Tennessee and ended up at guard.

Trade back, there's probably a good cluster of offensive and defensive tackles a few spots back or in the middle of the first.

Get more picks...

On the big boards he has a consensus 13 and consensus 10 on mocks but some mocks do have him out of first round.

Warren at 4, he wouldn’t be there with a trade down.
There might be value and some slick thinking to trade down to draft both Golden and Bond, two guys who know each other work well together, both Burners, this is if you have bolstered O line and D line via free agency.
But I think we need to add 2 new WRs maybe even 3 to this roster.
I think Warren and Hunter are the only 2 considerations for me if I stay at 4 now.
