That's true. I really meant that they don't attack with more than 4.I got the attacking part because the front 4 seem to be pinning their ears back and trying to penetrate

True but I'm of the opinion that Layden was a solid choice. Give him a couple more years. It bums me out how much draft capital we've spent on the guard position and we're still looking for solutions.

Watch LB Eugene Asante (highlighted) here at 3:00 truck the RB and QB on a blitz
Asante is being marked as someone who could excel at the combine today and whom we met with at the Senior Bowl

It feels weird looking at full time linebackers of that size for the Patriots. Even Grugier-Hill was 230lbs.Right around 6' and 220lbs
He's not my favourite linebacker although I loved that play and am looking forward to seeing how he tests. Give me Chris Paul or Barrett Carter as of now.Talk about violent lol my only concern is that he's a little too reckless with his head down at times. Protect yourself Eugene!
No more love for Smu's Knight? He's not my favourite linebacker although I loved that play and am looking forward to seeing how he tests. Give me Chris Paul or Barrett Carter as of now.
I’ve not seen him. Are you not thinking of Nick Martin from OSU? In that case, yes, still really like him.No more love for Smu's Knight?
South Carolina sorry. Another defense that would've been nice to see in the CFP.I’ve not seen him. Are you not thinking of Nick Martin from OSU? In that case, yes, still really like him.
Demetrius Knight. I like him but the value is too high for me. PFF have him at 32 overall.South Carolina sorry. Another defense that would've been nice to see in the CFP.

He is my booDoes anyone have thoughts on Jihaad Campbell from Alabama?
Look at this for consistent production from PFF:
Run Defence - 81
Coverage - 78.7
Pass Rush - 75.5
Ranks 1st among all linebackers for coverage stops
And at 6-3, 244lbs, a really good size.
He’s great but I feel he’s a first round lock and I’m not convinced by the value there. But there’s no accounting for boo-ability. Value be damned. He is my boo
He was an edge in high school, but Bama moved him off ball because of the depth they already had there. I feel the same about him, I think he will go in the 1st roundMy dream scenario would be to trade down twice, move around a bit and end up with two picks in the 20’s to take an OT and Jihaad Campbell. He is my favourite player in the draft.
To me he is the clear #1 off the ball linebacker. He is big, freakishly athletic and is fantastic against the run and in coverage. What puts it over the top for me though as the guy I want in the 1st round is the flashes of ability he has also shown off the edge. I have no doubt he will be a stud LBer, but if he can also do a bit of an Abdul Carter/Micah Parsons off the edge, that is an immensely valuable player.
Have him play inside on early downs where he can either play the run or drop into coverage when needed. Then on passing downs just let him loose from the edge. This is a guy that would make me very excited.
The above is why i think the value is there because he is movable chess piece. If we traded into the late teens early 20s. I think the value is there especially if we can get another 2nd and 3rd or pick next year. He’s great but I feel he’s a first round lock and I’m not convinced by the value there. I can see that but for me personally there'd be other prospects of better value like Grant, Nolen and the EDGE rushers. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't be disappointed by the pick and would snap Campbell up at 38 and can certainly respect your's and Wilfork's passion for the guy.He was an edge in high school, but Bama moved him off ball because of the depth they already had there.
