I'd like to get DE Carter at #4... And OT Zabel at #38
We NEED a dominant pass rusher/EDGE. And, I'm not sold on Cambell & Banks being the end all at OT.
Zabel has the fight & fire I love. Plus, it rhymes with Vrabel

I'd love to trade down - get DE Mykel Williams in mid 1st round. He's a true McGinest type, that could be a 3 down DE.
Then get Zabel at our #38
Use the extra 2nd rd pick to trade back up, or get best DT, LB or S available.

We can hit the TE & WR pool in the bottom 2nd, 3rd, 4th - where we have better luck.

What sort of concerns me regarding Hunter. Is if he is set in his own mind to play both ways and his coaches say nope not in the NFL then will he throw a tantrum because he doesn't get his own way. So I wonder if he is a team player, or a "me, me, me" type.

By every account Hunter is as team oriented as it gets, and there are zero concerns about his character and work ethic.

After watching Super Bowl all I want is an elite front 7

People wonder why patriots could win with the waterboys playing CB some years think of the talent we had on line…

Graham / Carter for me… if draft goes QB/QB/Carter I’d def consider drafting Hunter over Graham or trade pick for whoever is desperate to draft Hunter

Every bone in my body tells me the Raiders at #6 would offer a trade

A real dilemma. If he is still there at 4# draft him or trade down. I'm not sure which is best.

I'm very Leary of any trade down, I analyzed the first-round trade downs back to 2015 that did not include receiving a future first or 2nd. In 72% of the trades the team that traded up won the deal.
By trading down you have a 3 in 4 chance of ending up worse off than just taking the 1 pick higher in the first round.

Since there are only 10-13 first round prospects in this draft I'm more likely to just stay and take the best player. Then take the 2nd and first 3rd and get back into the 20's.

every day that goes by, the more i like Hunter at 4. I have been saying we need an OT at #4 but
Hunter kind of fills two needs at WR and CB, and i do believe he plays both in the NFL. Im not sure Zabel is an OT, but i thought i saw he projects as a G.

I'd do a trade down if it gives us either a future 1st or the ammo that we can convert to another 1st.

Basically BPA at 4

Or

BPA at 12ish + Conerly (or Golden or whoever you like late R1)

To me it comes down to if Hunter or Carter falls, in which case you stay put and take the blue chip.

Patriots "waterboy" CBs:

Law............2001
Law............2003
Law.............2004
Revis..........2014
Butler........2016
Gilmore....2018

Travis Hunter come on down!?
This feels like last year, I wanted Maye and back and forth rumors on Maye to Washington or not and it fell the way I wanted.
Same thing with Hunter. He's going #1, then he's going #3 as only 1 QB in top 3, then Carter foot means he's going #1 and now he might go 4.
Please, please, please let him come to 4. Gifted my #1 prospect 2 years in a row would be awesome. Less than 2 months to the draft!
