2025 Draft: Interior Offensive Line

a as
The more immediate and glaring needs are outside, but the LG job hasn’t been seized by anyone, Andrews is in the twilight of his career, Strange is at the end of his rookie contract, and Onwenu has two years left with big cap hits. I’d definitely grab at least one interior lineman this draft.
i completely agree with that, but im of the belief LG and LT can be upgraded through FA. If not, by all means, draft a couple of guys.

Of course it is but I'm expecting him to develop into the regular starter long-term. No different than I would think we can't assume the ship has sailed on Strange.
Or Caedan Wallace?

Adding mid-late round talent doesn't assume the ship has sailed, it provides competition and insurance just in case the ship actually has sailed.

Yeah Wallace I didn't mention because the subject was interior but they obviously were caught with their pants down in last year's draft and thought they could convert him from right to left.

If he can pan out at right great. But I think that's a bigger IF than Layden. But again that's JMO.

Not to be argumentative, but everyone on the line not named Mike Onwenu can be upgraded this year. IMO, they cannot get enough talent at OL this year, outside or inside.

Agreed

I just rate them as follows:

1 Onwenu
2 Robinson
3 Andrews(retiring soon)
4 Strange
5 Wallace

The rest aren't really worth mentioning lol

I couldn't find a specific clip of him but Tyler Cooper #75 Minnesota LG could be a late round gem.

Here's some tape of him and Ersery vs Michigan.

I don't know chit from shineola on this kid, but he looked like he moved well during the underwear Olympics. Some guys move like big, lumbering fat guys... and others move like athletes. This guy was the latter.

As an aside, maybe it's optics now that everyone is aware of the arm length issue, but you can see it when Campbell is on TV. His arms look shorter than some of the longer armed guys.

Put him on the rack.
