I think it will be 2 QBs before us and Carter or Hunter. They might pick Carter before Hunter because of the hype around Parsons.

I really doubt it, but the teams picking before are not the brightest of lightbulbs. So anything is possible.

he's going to have to improve his technique on both sides of the ball to truly succeed at the NFL level - he relies too much on athleticism right now - he'll be a solid corner and a solid receiver, but he's going to get beat/going to get covered until he improves technique.......my big red flag is does his ego allow him to see this? will he put in the work to improve?
Not too worried based on what I’ve read. The amount of work he puts in to play both ways is incredible. He’s also got a near 4.0 GPA.
Smart, super athletic. I honestly believe if he stays healthy he has a Hall of Fame career.

i'm not overly worried, but it's a different world......when you've always been the best athlete on field, and can make plays......its easy........but he's going to have to do more in the NFL, everyone is a great athlete.......that stark reality blows some minds sometimes.....i know he CAN learn to run sharper routes, i know he can learn better CB technique, just wondering how long the learning curve will be to realize that......he's had years of playing so far to do it, and it hasn't been a huge priority, so.....

i guess i'm getting old.......i prefer steak to sizzle, i prefer team over me.......... he's a little too much sizzle & me

I'm not sure Vrabel and our DC are going to prioritize Carter unless they are positive he can stop the run.
Absolutely. One things for sure Vrabel and Willams play guys that can handle the run. Is why I don't understand why some posters think Godchaux for example is this superior run player.. he's okay but we need stout, physical guys in the front 7 that are going push OGs off the ball and drop RBs in the backfield. Last season was embarrassing.

I really think it's either Carter or Graham if they keep the 4th

they need help up front on both sides; everything starts up front, and Vrabel gets that......there is really no OL worthy of a 4, but there's defensive front 7 that are more than worthy.......

Look for Vrabel to go defense with his first pick. I'd prefer a pass rusher. They already have an outside CB. You don't want to fall into the trap as many teams have done and hoard one position. It will not end well.

Hunter isn't going to improve the team when the front seven continues to play patty cake at the LOS. Gonzalez is case in point.

Hunter is the exception sorry Rain: If he's there we have to take him he can play Two Positions.

Ward likely goes before Sanders. And seemingly top 3.

There are several teams that still need a QB.
Titans, Browns, Giants, Raiders, Jets, and Saints.....in draft order.

One of them gets Ward and one or two might fill the need before the draft.

That still leaves 2 or 3 teams that could be fighting for Sanders.

Is that enough to create a big demand where a big trade could go down or is it just weak enough that the Raiders or Jets can just wait for him at 6 or 7.
I don’t think there is going to be offers you can’t refuse
The talent is just not strong enough
It’s going to be Graham or Campbell
Vrabel builds from the inside out
No way it will be Tet

Besides having to be in on 2 meeting rooms from different sides of the ball
When being in on 1 meeting room in the NFL can be taxing enough.
I also would be surprised if Hunter’s body held up to playing both sides of the ball
You would have to be built like a Clydesdale when he’s built like a whippet

Let this dude get to us at 4 please!

This is perfect. You don't need Hunter for 60 plays on D. Play a big kid at CB on running downs and allow Hunter to play 40 plays on D and 20 to 30 plays on O. With Gonzo? Sick! So sick! I have no idea why posters are not begging for T Hunter.

Every year we say the same thing and then on draft day, the dim light bulbs pick a QB.

Remember last year Bo Nix was going to be a 2nd or 3rd round pick, ended up being picked 12th overall, and had a great year leading the Broncos to the playoffs.

Why is he too much sizzle & me? Everything I read is that he is a great kid and a hard worker. His Heisman speech was nice. Where do you see the "sizzle and me"?

Key part being that puts you in at over 50%. The NFL is not forgiving at all, and snap management is half the game, as there's another one next week

Plus, might help to reference an adjacent topic, RE: when Belichick was asked when/why it was determined that a roster spot should be spent on a kicker, punter, long snapper individually, one of his better press conference questions. His answer includes the importance of how much time you have in practice to work on your specialty, highlighting why a kicker/punter hybrid is so rare.
IIRC Vinatieri almost flamed out in college (maybe it was HS) because they had him try to kick and punt.

Huh?

This kid plays full time on both sides of the ball, and you are worried about his work ethic?

Do we have a legit chance to land him?

Looking more and more likely carter goes top 3. Hopefully the other 2 teams like ward and sanders enough

I think the Titans are taking him number 1 overall.
