The Titans are a mess, so it wouldn't surprise me anything that they do. The Browns might still be stuck on trying to improve Watson. The Giants HAVE to get a QB. If they go through another year without a decent QB or prospect, the fans are going to demand everyone in that franchise be fired.
I'm hoping Cleveland falls in love with Cam Ward... I think the Watson ship has sailed.

It makes no difference for Cleveland if he plays or not. They are still on the hook for the worst contract in league history. His cap hit is $72,935,000 and dead cap is 172,770,000 for this year. He will not be cut until 2027 when his contract voids.
Oh gosh Cleveland is going suck for a while.

Is the Browns GM the accountant from Enron??

The Giants have no choice unfortunately. I'm hoping Vegas come calling @ 4 for Shedeur Sanders.
For Vegas I think it will come down to Brady's opinion.

But I don't necessarily think they'll have to trade. If the three teams picking 1-3 who all need QB don't take him then I don't see why another team would give up a hall for him so he probably slides to at least 6 or even further. Similar spot for the Jets and Saints. But it only takes one of them to go after it.

The best scenario is for Tenn to fall in love Ward because then that leaves the potential for Cleveland, NYG, Raiders, Jets, or even the Saints to trade up for Sanders. And that could be with us or could just push another non QB closer to us.

The more I look at the draft rankings of the players and the needs of the teams all around us the more janky this draft looks to me. Every time I think I have an idea on the way it may play out I consider something else and it changes everything. The only thing I think I know is that we wont trade out of this spot unless we get a really sweet deal and it puts us in a position to get someone we want. I dont think this staff is going to let anyone slide between their fingers if they know they can get them.

It’s really hard to get OT’s in FA or trade which is why I think they draft an OT in the 1st 2 rounds….along with a DT or DE. WR’s are for FA or trade IMO.

I like McMillan

I don't like Tet in the top half of the 1st....being heavily over rated because of a poor class.....His profiles have too much "separation issues" and "great contested catch" for me to be interested. If he couldn't get open in the Big12 how is is going to get open in the NFL.

A WR in the top of the draft should be able to get himself open, not need to be schemed open.

I want a trade back to...say 9th/10th pick and just take an OT......while hopefully picking up another 3rd.
There’s no OT in the draft worth being taken that high. Likewise the QB class being so bad will limit how much you can get out of a trade down. The reality is this is just ****ty draft for what our needs are and what value are draft position gives us.

It might just be better to go BPA at this point even if it’s not one of our top 3 needs

Reality is Maye will make friends at the pro bowl.
Is Higgins there?

You have three teams at the top of the draft and all of them need a QB but this is an unimpressive draft at that position. I have to believe at least one of them will address QB prior to the draft either by free agency or trade. Will Levis of the Titans is going to train under Jordan Palmer this offseason so he might get one more shot, though I'd expect them to bring in some competition, maybe Justin Fields on a prove-it deal. That would allow the Titans to kick the can on the franchise QB decision for another year, and take the best player available at 1st overall.

Travis Hunter has said his goal is to be better than Deion Sanders. Sanders was a full-time CB in the NFL who occasionally got some play at WR. He got the most time at WR in 1996 for the Cowboys when he was second on the team in total targets (67) behind Michael Irvin. But that was by far the most usage he got on offense as he didn't get more than 11 targets any other season. Sanders was an All-Pro CB who was capable of chipping in a little on offense. That is what I see as Hunter's most likely path to stardom.

The Titans pick first and already have an elite CB with L'Jarius Sneed. Hunter as a CB would be a luxury pick. If he committed to WR then Hunter can profile as their WR1 of the future, working alongside 30-year-old Calvin Ridley in the meantime. But if he's a CB, I can see the Titans either taking Cam Ward (if they don't bring in a veteran) or taking Abdul Carter. For the sake of this exercise I'll say the Titans take Carter.

Next is the Cleveland Browns. They are desperate for QB help, with Deshaun Watson still on the books but possibly missing the entire 2025 season, and Jameis Winston a free agent. I think they run that draft card to the podium to take Ward.

The New York Giants are next and also need a QB, but are they sold on Shedeur Sanders enough to take him? Does he even want to play in a cold weather climate? Do the Giants want the distraction of his father as well? What about the fact that Hunter would still be right there? The Giants don't have an elite cornerback, as their 2023 first rounder Deonte Banks has struggled so far. The Giants need a new face of the franchise after letting Saquon Barkley walk to their division rival. I think the Giants take Hunter there and take a flier on a QB in the second round (maybe a guy like Jaxson Dart or Quinn Ewers).

That leaves the Pats on the clock at 4. Carter, Ward, and Hunter off the board. Sanders still there but not a need. It would be good to see which team would want to trade up for Sanders and get some extra picks out of it. If no one bites, then I think best player available is the way to go, and I think that guy would be Mason Graham. He's probably the safest bet to make a big impact in the NFL no matter where he goes, and he can probably be a defensive captain in short order with the Pats. I'm not sold on any of the top two OT's as a 4th overall pick, considering they may profile better as guards at the NFL level, and it's a mistake to take interior linemen that high. I like Tetairoa McMillan but I'm not convinced he's a top 5 player in this draft class and you don't want to draft based on need to the point of reaching. Hoping the Pats can address WR by free agency or trade.

It seems that Travis Hunter is not considered number one pick in lots of the mock drafts, I have seen him as low as 8#. If we can draft him at 4# should we take him or trade and move down the board. There is no way he will play both Offense and Defense for all, or most of a game. So assuming he plays Defense are we wasting our 1# pick on a corner. When OL and Rec are more important.?
That seems a very big and very biased assumption. Or couple of assumptions.

Let’s just discuss the last one, relative importance. How valuable or important would it be to have two lockdown corners? How would we be looking with Gonzo as CB2?

My pick is Graham.

Sign some beast DT if available in FA plus Graham and this defense will get off the field. This will improve the team a lot in the WL record.

If they don't take QB's they will likely trade down a bit with a team that does want a QB.
I really do not think that teams will be rushing to try and get into the top 5 for QBs. This reminds me of the Kenny Pickett year, now I do think teams will try to move up for Hunter and Carter.

Sanders is not consistently rated in top 10 so I doubt Raiders need to jump up to 4. If he makes it to 4 they can just wait for him to slide. I think any of top 3 teams would be crazy to take Sanders BUT they will fake interest to try to get someone to trade up
