I read a article that said they are trying to pry Chad O’Shea away from the Browns
Going to be hard. O’Shea is also the WR coach and passing game asst in Cleveland
They can trade AVP back to them. He's still under contract with us, right?

With Pellegrino and Belichick gone, the next DB coaches hav e some really big (if young) shoes to fill.

The strength of the Patriots has been the D-backfield for a long while now.

JC Jackson and a long line of other unknowns made their bread & butter under those 2 coaches (though of course BB was there as well, as DB/LB were BB's specialties).

I look at Alex Austin and think about how great he looked in 2023. He has real abilities to be another JC. BUT... why doesn't this happen more regularly across the NFL?

I'll be paying close attention to the DBs next year.

With Pellegrino and Belichick gone...
We don't know that Pellegrino is gone. He might be but it hasn't been reported anywhere as far as I know. If I were him I would request to move to Safety (seems like that was the norm under BB) and then eventually Linebackers. Kevin Richardson has some experience coaching CB's....might be a good time for Pellegrino to move to a new position.

If they released him then I don’t believe he is under contract anymore but they probably still have to pay the rest of his contract

I have also read so many articles I worded this one out of context
An article suggested OShea would be a likely candidate
You never know

Wide Receiver Coach is the biggest need at this point IMO. I'm shooting for Wes Welker. He's been a WR coach for 5 years. He knows EP and WC.

The word I have heard is that Vrabel wants to run a defense closer to what he and Williams had in Tennessee. It will involve more secondary blitzes I imagine. This does make me sad, but I get it.

The only other names I know and maybe not even in the competition are
Brian Hartline and Chad O’Shea
Again maybe not the right fits and contracts they can’t get out of or don’t want to leave their present.position
Welker though sounds intriguing

I would not complain with either Hartline or O'Shea. Both have experience coaching WR's for many years. I prefer Vrabel continue to hire people who have experience. Players respect that.

Looking at his bio
Welker worked with Vrabel in Houston besides playing with him
Whoever it is has taking some time which I don’t think would be a run of the mill hire

They are saying he will be the TE’s coach and passing game coordinator
Correct.. myself and a few other posters were just summizin possibly since he is the passing game coordinator possibly there won't be a WR'S coach

Why? What makes you sad about that.

Bourne again Christinan
Zappe hour I’ve had like 15 names since this site’s existence,
Nice to change things up once in awhile. I'll stick with my less than creative and frankly Blah Name.

Anyone else lukewarm to the Marrone hire? I associate him with losing other than that fluke run to the 2017 title game with Jax.

Fortunately like McDaniels…he won’t be a HC with the Patriots. I’m fine with him being the OL coach…he has experience that’s valuable and respected.
