Are people forgetting McDaniels literally left the Colts at the altar? Double standards here

Vrabel, Cowden = 2 vs 3 = Thunder, Wolf, Groh

Question - Then why isn't Vrabel's front office guy in control?
Patience, his guy will be soon, either after the draft or at the end of the upcoming season.

Thunder was not going to give Vrabel front office control.

2nd prize is Cowden in the room.
If they brought in someone to take the "GM" job they would have gone through the rooney rule before hiring anyone. The Krafts seem to really hate interviewing people.

The Vrabel hire looks better with each hire made across the league. These teams are so damn desperate and are getting taken to the bank by the unknown.
I was just thinking this…..Vrabel is a proven commodity and will be perfect for the Pats…..Johnson intrigued me I’ll admit it but in the long run Vrabel is better. Johnson, Glenn, Coen, ALL totally question marks and may take several years for them to get it going. Carroll is a good hire overall ……but Vrabs is the BEST!

The key here which I bolded is that Coen actually didn’t sign a contract but rather had a verbal agreement. The day he was supposed to come in to sign it he ghosted the Bucs and met again with the Jags. It would have been more professional if he had simply told the Bucs that he needed a little more time to weigh his options, but he may have been afraid of the offer being pulled off the table and potentially not landing the Jags gig after all. I’m not sure. Ethical or not he certainly used whatever leverage he had to get the coaching job he wanted in the end.
Bill Belichick resigned from the Jests on a ****tail napkin….classic….F the Jete!!!

I thought whomever posted the original timeline was yanking our chain but holy hell…amateur hour for sure. Bet he’s the first to be let go next year…

I'll take that bet. 5 years at $12M per guaranteed tells me Coen could drive the bus into a ditch and Khan would still give him another year

I’ll go on record as saying that the best HC hire outside of Vrabel, will be Aaron Glenn.

He seems like he is cut from similar cloth as Vrabel and will run a disciplined organization.

I think players will want to play for him.

It remains to be seen whether he can overcome the rest of the Jetiness.

I would be shocked if this time next year they haven't completely revamped the Rooney Rule. I don't remember this many teams blatantly skirting the rule the way they did this year. The NFL isn't going to take that PR hit again.
Could be.

Could also be we're paying attention to interviews for the first time in forever. Until now all the interviews I had ever paid any mind were when our guys were getting poached.

For all I know every year is the same.
