Excuse me nothing wrong with 73

Lots of energy!

If BB wasn’t sick of the NFL already, the last two head coach hires should confirm his opinion. Owners falling all over themselves to hire Liam Cohen and necro Pete the Poodle’s coaching career thinking that’s getting them to the Super Bowl? Pete’s last championship was in February 2014.

Good for Pom-Pom. I think he can still coach.

Arch won't be in next year's draft.
I don’t follow as closely as others, please elaborate. He’ll be in his third year at Texas, correct ? For what reason would he not be in the 2026 draft ?

Because he knows having 2 full years of experience at the college level would better prepare him for the NFL than having only 1.

I think this may be a bridge signing to build a better culture and keep the team from imploding in the next 2-3 year window while the Raiders figure out their future. Pierce wasn't ready, the Raiders are nowhere near becoming a contender but getting into the repeated cycle of firing coaches every year is not good business. The Raiders don't win but they seem to be more functional than terrible franchises like the Jets, Jaguars and Browns are becoming the Browns from 10 years ago again.

I'm a NFL fan and like to watch every game, this is a good signing from a product standpoint.

Yeah, given his age and the lack of a QB he might be setting things up for the next guy (not the same situations but has he done that before).

Someone has to clean up the culture in that building.

Ding ding ding. Work with him , get the culture right, he knows he is old, get the next guy in with his blessing.
This tells me that they may have been really interested in BB.

Considering they basically plucked Geno out of nowhere, I would give him a chance to find a QB retread that they can turn into a player.

Nobody likes an old guy makes good story more than a fellow old guy. That said, if someone wanted to 'clean up the culture' in their building I'm not sure a rah rah guy like Pete is the way to go. On the other hand if what ownership thought is needed is a sea change of positivity and enthusiasm, Pete's your guy.

They may just need to install a system, not so much as a rah-rah coaching positivity and feel good chit. Their scouting, strength and conditioning, and overall operation may need an overhaul. Brady would recognize that and know they need to drastically change how they conduct the business of football. Not unlike what's happening here under Vrabel.

Odd choice but as a couple others have stated Pete will get the team organized, when I say team I mean the whole organization because it’s surely needed, however I doubt the owner Raggedy Andy will listen to him, maybe between Pete and Tom they might be able to make progress with the owner.
