Looking thrilled.
I don’t want Tet.He might be the first player taken. This is one of the poorest draft I've seen in quite a while.
Tet, I don't know. We've seen big tall receivers who physically dominate in college but fail in the NFL. He just doesn't have quick twitch movements to separate from NFL DBs. If he uses his physicality well he could be like Anquan or maybe even Larry Fitz, but I don't want another N'Keal when we're picking Top 5.
That is my theory too.I'm convinced Mayo knew he was out before the game.. so he played to win.. something he never did all season
He pulled a Costanza Opposite Day?I think maybe he coached to lose and just screwed that up, too.
completely agree that this draft sucks. He might be the first player taken. This is one of the poorest draft I've seen in quite a while.

Don’t sleep on Mason Graham. Might be the best player in this draft class. Harbaugh called him “a gift from the football gods”. I’d like to see the Pats take either Carter or Graham at 4 and find other ways to deal with their needs at OT & WR.
Carter/ Graham would give the Pats a defensive centerpiece that every opponent would have to gameplan against for the next decade. The only way to get guys like this are to pick at the top of the draft.
You know, if Vrabel becomes B.B. Jr. that actually can consistently draft WR's (or any other position for that matter), then that would be AWESOME!!!I think we are on that Track with BB jr: Mike Vrabel.
“You’re up now Jim, please select a category”To be exact “Mayo” can now be a verb.
“While being in a position where a loss would have ensured the Pats the #1 overall pick, the Pats Mayoed it by winning.
They're going get a chance to work him out.Don’t sleep on Mason Graham. Might be the best player in this draft class. Harbaugh called him “a gift from the football gods”. I’d like to see the Pats take either Carter or Graham at 4 and find other ways to deal with their needs at OT & WR.

I’d lean heavily towards front 7, but if it’s clear that Hunter is by far the BPA when they pick, they would have to take him.Agree with this take. We need an impact front 8 player on D. We lost 6 one score games last year and primarily because we couldn't get off the field on defense. Carter would be ideal, but Graham is also a beast.
Also if somehow Hunter drops to 4th, would you take him over Carter? I think Carter is the target, but if he's not there and it's between Graham and Hunter, I would go Hunter. He's just too good of a football player to pass up.
I like Graham if we stay at four, but an imaginative coaching staff could have a lot of fun with Hunter, as long as they don’t over use him.I’d lean heavily towards front 7, but if it’s clear that Hunter is by far the BPA when they pick, they would have to take him.
When you pick in the Top 5, you have to get a stud. You can’t be drafting for need.
What's the trade. It's highly likely the top QB and and Carter/Hunter are gone. The second highest QB is not must have this draft so you aren't getting a haul and the draft is so light that the 10 pick is not getting you close to what you might at 4.Trade back to 10 if possible
Hunter just doesn't make sense for the Pats. If you are dead set on taking a CB, then yeah sure. But it's not close to a position of need right now. If you are thinking about getting him at WR, you take Tet because he's a far surer thing at WR.Agree with this take. We need an impact front 8 player on D. The issue with Hunter is that it's a bird in the hand vs two in the bush situation. His best case scenario is that he comes in, focuses mostly on CB and becomes an elite CB and we can sporadically use him at WR in designed packages. His worst case scenario is that he doesn't have as much room to grow as CB and isn't even the best this draft and he doesn't have the luxury of spending time at WR.I like Graham if we stay at four, but an imaginative coaching staff could have a lot of fun with Hunter, as long as they don’t over use him.
It’s very likely to go Hunter, Carter, Ward.
I don’t think teams are high enough on Sanders to trade up. He’s not a top 10 talent and teams aren’t going to trade the farm for him
There's a lot of people that think he's both the best WR in this class and the best CB in this class. The issue with Hunter is that it's a bird in the hand vs two in the bush situation. Meanwhile there's pretty clear prospects that most draftboards view as a consensus better CB or WR than him which would be more justifiable than chasing a unicorn.
Like he could be amazing. He could also could land in a lot of spots and some of those don't make sense for the Pats. Like let's say we get him, he just becomes an elite CB but isn't doing much at WR. Okay... Patriots just double downed on their biggest strength as a team and are lopsided. On top of that, unless this rebuild goes horrifically wrong, contracts will come up and all of a sudden you have to decide if you want to give top end money to two elite CB's in Gonzalez and Hunter, which at that point, hopefully you are more concerned about contending and having players all over the place and fielding a full team and aren't in a position to make a luxury play like that.
If that kid didn't have the last name Sanders, the debate would be whether he'd even get picked in the first round.Deion thinks so... /lol

Carter will also effect it. It's easy to see him as more of a surefire pick if you need a pass rusher and don't want to roll the dice on Hunter's potential. Realistically the best thing that could happen isThere's a lot of people that think he's both the best WR in this class and the best CB in this class.
I don't think it matters too much either way because he's going 1 or 2. The only thing that changes how high he goes is QB and really just Ward. So 1 or 2.
