I have to think he plea deals the DV to something everyone can live with.

It's a fallacy to appeal to authority.

you make it sound like there is a problem with that.

If I had a medical issue, and you offered advice, i'd be damn sure to question your perceived "self-authority"

by stating that I "do not know the legal system very well" you make assumptions, assuming you have a greater scope of knowledge about it than I might have. assumptions... you've just been relegated to the ass part of them...

admits the "unidentified white powder" which turned out to be cocaine was indeed his... he needed to add Patrick Chung to his defense council it seems...

bye bye mr peppers... i don't see a way this ends well for him... or for us...
From what I know is the NFL and NFLPA have a program for players that have had issues with drug, alcohol ect. My guess is pep goes the route of saying he had an issue and will seek help.. outside of this incident guy has been a total professional patriots player on/off the field. I want him to get past this...under Vrabel he has the potential to be an all-pro.

Isn’t having a guy who uses coke a problem on a professional football team?
Pot OK no problem but I do not think you want a coke user as a leader on your defense.

If he has been through a rehab program and is clean maybe.

But If I were Vrabel I would wNt him gone.

Also if he was using coke the DV is more plausible

one domino falls, starts a chain reaction... hoisted by his own petard...
Yeah, that's not the way it typically works. If I was trying this case, from my opening statement going forward, I would use his confession about the coke to the cops to enhance his credibility. It would be some variation of "from the moment the police arrived he was completely truthful with them. He freely admitted that he had cocaine in his possession, even though he knew it was a felony. He continued to be truthful with them when he denied that any domestic violence occurred."

100% this. Why are we ok with having a cocaine user as a team leader? Especially on a team that needs to establish a winning culture.

If there was 1 dude on the Patriots that I had to put money on to be doing coke, it would've 100% been Peppers. Does not shock me in the slightest.

Also, I don't care and it won't affect his standing on the team. The only thing that matters is the domestic violence charges.

Please explain why using coke is not a problem for a leader on an NFL team.
I am in my mid 60’s so I honestly don’t understand.
Cocaine has some side effects which could impact decision naking and judgment during a game.

For examples, penalties due to over aggressive play. I would bet at least a few players might resent someone they think might still be using coke.

Peppers already submitted to and 'graduated' out of the League's substance abuse program.
Now he's apparently on...

So for the coke he'll get probation/fine. They can keep him on that.

If hes found guilty for the domestic assault then hes cut and should be.

$4m cap hit next year if they cut him after June 1

No cap hit if he violated the terms of the league's personal conduct policy which a guilty conviction would suffice to invoke
