Vrabel's Staff Discussion Thread (Discuss related news here)

I said Sean McVay is one of the better young Offensive minds in the game. But was crapped on for being infatuated with his Offense: I guess I'm not alone and NFL Teams are too.
this doesn't really vindicate either side of that argument

?? Have they even hired their HC yet? How would they have hired Nick Caley? Makes zero sense
They are hiring Glenn and the article states he already spoken to Caley and Scott Turner about being Ocs.

Besides all of that, NFL regulations prohibit interviews with these teams until January 20th (yesterday) anyway. So we are about 24 hours deep into these guys actually being allowed to be talked to. Not exactly time to panic.

Agree completely. There is no way Vrabel went into this offseason without doing all the groundwork necessary to put together the staff he wants to work with for this job. He may not get every single coach at the top of his list, no one does, but I’m confident he will put together a staff that he believes he will win with. That doesn’t mean it will be a coaching staff where fans will see every choice as a home run, but it does mean he will put together a really good coaching staff.

I haven't seen any official word that Glenn is hired - and even if he is, it'll be several days at the earliest before they hire an OC

They can’t have a better OC than us.
This hire is critical Vrabs come on.
They have Adams and Wilson @ WR along with Breece Hall And Allen @ RB: they have superior pieces at the skilled positions. IF they can only get that QB that make it all work.

This is why people need to stop panicking... This interview already happened and it happened yesterday... People are freaking out because other teams publish who they are planning to talk to days in advance of ever actually speaking to them... meanwhile Vrabel is conducting business quietly and we don't hear about it until later.

Interesting Kevin O'Connell disciple I like.

Albert Breer tweeted the Pats interviewed Vikings Asst OC/Asst. QB coach Grant Udinski for their OC position. He is 28 years old and considered a finalist for the Seattle OC job.

What a ****ty Staff we Fielded in 2024: we have almost cleaned house with those pathetic assistants.

The leaky way of doing business is over. It may or may not be a coincidence that we stopped having daily leaks once Mayo and Glaser turned in their key cards.

I'm glad there seems to be a return to tight lipped professionalism. When something worthwhile happens we'll hear about it.

Yeah but it's not as if he can't find a good hockey program in Boston lol

The question is whether they feel it's on par with what's in Detroit. I don't know enough about them to day that they are or not.
