Sorry its been a min, i meant to respond to this and forgot. I agree it probably wont happen but if they hired McDaniels, which is looking less likely by the day, then its whats best for Maye and that is my lone concern in who they hire or what system they run. I think everything else around that is overblown and not as important as people are making it out to be. I think time in the same system, no matter what system, is the most important component to long term success. So the most important part of the OC hire IMO is 1) use the same verbage Maye learned last year, if you have another system translate it, i dont want too much put on Maye's plate too early. 2) get the hire right so that we do not have a new one for the first 2, 3, 4 years of Maye's career.
I did a quick google to see if it came up with an OC that switched from EP to WCO and mostly found examples of switching styles more then system like going spread or focusing on the strech run game. I still think McDaniels could run WCO if he had 6 months to get up to speed but to your point i dont have an example of it being done.
