NFL GAME DAY DISCUSSION NFL Divisional playoffs discussion

While I will always hate the Ravens, I feel a bit for Andrews. His feet went from under him just as he received the ball. When that happens catching the ball becomes harder - your body reacts to the loss of balance instinctively. Sure he should have caught it, but it is understandable why he dropped it.

He also fumbled earlier. The two events together are curious.

114 passer rating 2 touchdowns and a very clutch Td drive and 2 point conversion that his tight end choked on. Let’s face it you are just hating.

Lamar will easily win his 3rd nfl mvp this year with an all time historic season. Meanwhile, our inept front office drafted two pathetic players over this man in the first round in 2018. We haven’t won a playoff game in 6 years.
So many things to disagree with here.

You look at QB stats too much. A QB should be judged by how many points he leads his team to. Have a look at the Bills rushing TDs from close in. This whole discussion reminds of when Aaron Rodgers had more votes for MVP in 2012 than Brady did. The entire NFL was looking at this:

Aaron Rodgers: 39 TDs, 8 INTs, 108 rating
Tom Brady: 34 TDs, 8 INTs, 98 rating

Meanwhile, the Packers scored 9 rushing TDs the entire year. The Patriots scored 26 rushing TDs, 4 of them by Brady, and it is still one of the top NFL offenses of all time. Brady was so much better than Rodgers that year.

When you look at the Bills, they have 32 rushing TDs this year to the Ravens 21. They actually scored more points than the Ravens did this year.

I personally think the 2 QBs were even but I gave the nod to Lamar just barely.

But tonight? You're looking at stats and dismissing the huge fumble he gave away. And the interception. He put his team in a bad spot, and Josh Allen played conservatively making sure to avoid the big mistake.

As for drafting Lamar Jackson, you expected the front office to do that in a year in which Brady was upset with the lack of support at WR and also when Bob Kraft was angry that the front office was making plans to move on from their aging QB? You can't win with you guys. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

Bills built their team to beat the Chefs.
They will get absolutely smoked in the Super Bowl however by Philly. 40 rushes for 210 yards from Barkley. 2 bombs on PA is all Hurts has to do. Gonna be 90s Bills bad. You think Carter won't knock Allen out the first chance he gets?

Harbaugh really has some explaining to do.

4-7 playoff record in the last 12 years, have not managed to get past the divisional round. For a team that wins a lot, this must be getting old for them.

Chiefs will win, Allen the better QB but Reid/Spags combo is better than him
This is where Buffalo will fall short imo.

I don't trust that coaching staff at all. Even tonight, McDermott inexplicably decided to stop pressuring Jackson. When it worked well for the first few quarters. The OC decided to go conservative.

If Bill Belichick was coaching the Bills next week, I'd pick Buffalo without hesitation. Bill always got the best of Reid in big games.

4 wins too many as far as I am concerned

It’s Lamar, Harbaugh won with Flacco. He’s not the problem… other than he thought he could win rings with a RB who throws a little.

Last year they did.

But they only had to beat Houston to get there.

2012 he still had that great Ravens D that was there before he arrived. Once they left, he really struggled.

Does BB win that game if he is coaching the Ravens?

Lamar played well tonight. Not great. Have to give him credit for coming back in the second half.

But...he's the first player to ever win three MVP's and see zero SB's.

Yes because Bill always taught players not to necessarily extend at the goal line. I don't recall a Patriots turniver/Touchback happening. Andrews simply goes down.
