biggest standout? Christian Elliss

statistical anomaly... HH asked to do more than AH was...
Gonzo is far higher than 13th.. I feel he's the best CB in the game.. Surtain has the benefit of a excellent pass rush. Gonzo is a man on an island with no help from his front 7.

add to that, he started out slow... recovering from his year ender the previous season... im sure they just do averages etc...

Agreed.. took him a few games to get back.. in form. The 2nd team all pro because of the teams record we all know he's 1st team all day..

i did not know number 1. thank you.

still, i don't think any contract he signs regardless, would have qualified for compensation
Yeah, you're right; they got rid of the "original round" tender in the most recent CBA.

Saw this in patriots Reddit page.

Polk - 133/133
D Jacobs - 81 out of 81
Dugger - 96 out of 98 ( ouch)
Robinson - 74 out of 77
Brown - 39 out of 40

Surprise Lowe is much much superior considering he played next to Jordan who was a bigger turnstile.

Dugger what a regression. Looks like coaching is a big part to blame and peters should probably be escorted out .

With this Oline ranking , Maye should be MVP of the season , no QB is close. And I think Vrabes realized that. No wonder he was hell-bent on joining pats in second stint. Gear up folks . Just 2 above average offensive line playmakers and 1 stud wide receiver , we should be flying high up...

Jordan was our 2ND-Best OLman last season.

He & Zach not the LB Thomas >>>>>>>>>>>> Lester the Molester & the Other Robinson who Sucks Too.

Restricted rights free agent... at the very least he will get a right of first refusal tender (projected to be $3185,000)... but I'd be fine with the second round tender (ptb $5,217,000)

A 2ND-round tender for that dude? Elliss s-sucks too; he was just the best of a Bad lot this season.

Scheme is one thing. But if you need coaching (as that's a big buzzword here) in order to be effective, you're not a good player.

Bill has disguised players limitations for years, but even he had a limit.

We should sign Elliss to a $5M deal?

Got a kick out of Jahlani Tavi ranking a whopping 69 out of 83 calling out Patriot Fans for booing.

What ever happened to "do your job"? Guess he didn't do his very well.
Davon Dogchow too after getting visibly eviscerated on film way too often yet having the energy to point fingers after each game when a mic is put in front of him

Sure it is. If you buy tickets, watch the games or buy merchandise it most certainly is your money. No fans, no football team.
Keep telling yourself that, it does not make it true. My money is money I have control over. That I can make decisions on how its spent. Once its spent, it is no longer mine. Do I, or anyone, have a say in how the Patriots spend their money?

No. Not in the slightest degree. There is no more a truer statement than "Its not my money".

I didn't say that. I said if they did give him the second round tender, I wouldn't complain about it. The difference between the right of first refusual and the second round tender is what? 2 million dollars... thats cheap money in light of the Patriot cash spending/cap space. why ***** about a player making some extra? its not stupid dollars ala the watson contract in cleveland

The players all know who is worth what contract value. Being fair, within reason, creates trust. Throwing money at players that are not deserving, even if the cap space is available, is undisciplined and sets a bad example for the whole team. Let's hope Vrabel is generous but fair.

If you want to keep him, and based on his play this year we should want to keep him, the goal would be to sign him to more than a one year deal... a couple extra million dollars over the length of a contract, in this case, is neither undeserved or undisciplined...

We want to keep good players here and he is a good player - one of the only bright spots on the team this year... In light of your repeated comments about the lack of talent on the roster you particularly should know this... This shortsightedness couched in terms like "fiscal responsibility" is the same reason we lost a player like Jacobi Meyers over a (couple) million dollars or so... Its a stupid way to run a business that thrives on player talent.
