Will the Patriots Make the Playoffs Next Season?

Too many holes to fill in one off season. Plus a new HC and likely OC and DC. They have an easier schedule but that probably gets them another 2 wins.
If the schedule gets them 2 wins, the coaching improvement gets them 2 wins and )$125,000,000 worth of better players gets them 2 wins we are at 10 before factoring in a year 2 jump and playing all the games for Maye

It’s really not a question of WILL THEY at this point as much as SHOULD THEY
They play 8 games against teams that won 5 or fewer games this year and none of them have a QB
They have great draft position.
They have $125,000,000 of cap space to improve the talent in the roster with.

If they do an average job with the draft and free agency they absolutely should be making the playoffs.

No, but there's a decent chance they'll be competitive for a spot.

Just so everyone knows, this poll will not close until there are enough yes votes for the good guys to win.

Yeah expecting playoffs in 2025 is setting yourself for disappointment. Being in the race and having a shot is a more reasonable and still fun hope.

Fix the OLine, and anything can happen.

That being said, I hope we win two games and get the number 1 spot in the draft.

They might make the playoffs. If they don't, they will kick the *SS of some playoff wannabe team to keep them out at the end of the season.

12 teams don't have QBs and/or coaches. So those are automatically eliminated from high possibilities . That leaves us with 14 teams out of 20 and few teams are just an injury away from not able to compete.

On our end if we just get a decent LT and some solid kick in the $#$$@ coaching anything could happen. Fix the defense and minimize mistakes, we could be like broncos.

Playoffs is a definite possibility maybe 30% chance unlike last year.

Honestly I love the way things turned out. Replacing Mayo with Vrabel is exactly what this franchise needed. Now they have a clear cut idea of the kind of team they want to build, and every player under contract knows they better come into camp in the best shape of their lives, and ready to kick ass. Players who might have wanted out are going to want to stay, and it’s going to be much easier to attract top free agents. I can’t wait for free agency to begin and the roster for next season to start taking shape. Actually do believe they will make the playoffs, and if they don’t I will blame Patsfan 2, or Love the JJ, or Bill Belichick. Any one of them will do.

Gotta vote no, despite the belief that this team will vastly improve and at first glance the schedule seems somewhat easier.. there will be such a tremendous rebuild of this team it will take time for everything to fall in place...

I have some confidence now that we'll snap back to being a respectable product that doesn't gift wrap games, so the next biggest factor is the quality of our opponents, which for the first time in a while looks favorable.

Let's assume we can split within the division, that's 3 wins. Of the remaining road games, let's say 2 wins (eg Saints, Titans). Of the remaining home games, 4 are very winnable (Raiders-Giants-Browns-Panthers), which gets us to 9 wins. And splitting the Falcons & Steelers at home isn't crazy talk. 10 wins is within the realm.

We may have improved players already on the roster if we get some professional coaches to teach them.

We can’t make a final judgment on last years’ draft crop yet.

Looks like only Maye and Milton had decent coaches.

Although I voted yes I want to see what Vrabel, Cowden and Wolf do in free agency and the draft.

I think that the secondary also had decent coaches.

One step at a time.

First let's see who coaches the Defense. Is anyone staying? Probably not. That's a lot of folks to hire and to get on the same page.
Who ever is coaching the defense I have confidence under Vrabel over seeing it they will have the defense far better than last season with if course pass rushers. I'm more concerned about OC.

Team had the 32nd ranked Offense if Offense was was better Mayo would still be here. Get a LT and WR like Higgins we are in the Playoffs.
We got smashed in the Trenches, did you not see Run Defense and OL Performance?
Wake up dude, I continue to see you and Real drooling over shiny ****.
You can't win without being able to RUN and STOP the RUN.
Once you have a real shot at the line, you can win.
The LOS is where you win and lose.

The draft and free agency is what will ultimately determine whether we are a playoff team. A strong culture being implemented may be enough to get us at least 6 wins. The rest is up to the front office.
