The offense needs more than just Higgins.. going to have to get another guy still.. Jennings would fit that bill perfectly as a number 2 or 3 option..

I think there may be 5-10 there that would be worth considering. What a scrap pile of broke, over the hill, not very good mental cases.

A Cooper would-be tempting Three year contract if we don't get Tee Higgins. IF McDaniels comes aboard we can bet on Chris Godwin in FA. Very unfortunate injury for the older S Diggs.

Pape I commend you on your time to post all this. That is great information! Absolutely I don't want them to trade any of our picks for JAGs.. we need top tier talent we have a team full of JAGs already.

Godwin and diggs... concern me PF2.. Diggs is 31 coming off and ACL.. Godwin for what consecutive season has sustained serious injuries.. he's 28.. but his body is more like 38 with those Injuries.. A Cooper nice player.. at this stage he's probably is a 2a on a team with a 1.

No sir you did not I think that would be a hard argument for anyone and yet someone on here most certainly will state that its not that bad.
I'm thinking since there probably are less than desirable players available in FA at OL unless their is some cap casualty cuts.. Dan Moore is the only realistic FA LT I can think of.. I'd like to stay away from guys coming off serious injuries at WR..

Real: you gotta love Chris Godwin's receptions per Targets he doesn't drop many: it's pretty good.

Oh without a doubt he's been an excellent player his whole career.. the injuries are what scare me.. we need him healthy for he and Drake to have a connection ok the field. Also he's a slot WR too.. so we pop.. wich pop will have the benefit of a real OC who will properly utilize him... we need some guys on the outside..

I still can't get over wolfie saying how lowe needs to learn how to use his length.. and he's a starting LT.. only on the ja-rod rust patriots would that happen.

He had a Super year with all the injuries to 49ers Wide Receivers... I would see if he's available in a Trade: Thoughts...

No thanks. Over-rated by people because of his numbers this year which are exactly because he was the only healthy receiver that the 49ers had. Look at what he did previously. He was their 3rd/4th receiver and offers little to nothing on Special Teams.

Jennings is no better than Pop Douglas.

It remains to be seen if Polk or Baker can amount to anything. Polk MIGHT if he shuts his mouth and puts in the work with the Jugs machine.

With Boutte, Polk, Baker, Douglas, the Pats have 4 receivers under 25 who can grow with Maye. Honestly, I'd bring Bourne back because he's a catalyst type player. With improved O-line play, Maye should have the time to get the ball to one of those 4. Particularly with Henry or Hooper on the field.

One of the issues with AVP is that the offense didn't have an identity. It clearly should have been the 22.. Getting Henry and Hooper on the field as much as possible and using that grouping for the run and pass. Then you put Boutte and Douglass out there.

One of the biggest issues was AVP's lack of trust in Douglas. HE was their best WR, but didn't have the snaps to show for it.

I hope that Vrabel brings in a proven WR coach.

Give me any of the following:

Greg Dortch
Jaelon Darden
Tutu Atwell

That would be too bad if Deebo is done. He was unbelievable when healthy.
I didn't want Deebo even last year. Reason being that he was used too much as a RB before they got CM, so he got overused as a RB and took a lot of pounding.

Like coach Vrabel said. Everyone is getting a clean slate. That's the best way to approach things. The coaching and development last season we all could see was disastrous even veteran players regressed. I'm not giving up on Polk or baker it's asinine too. They will have top notch coaching now and properly developed. The need for playmakers is so apparent that way the young unproven guys can be brung along at a pace where the pressure isn't on them. On AVP his offensive Scheme doesn't have the slot WR ad the focal point.. Elijah Moore was frustrated as well when he was in Cleveland. My hope is Josh McDaniels comes back he will tailer the offense around Drake, and his abilities while bringing back the slot and the 3rd down back.. staples of a patriots offense.

Why would SF trade an asset? Pats would have to vastly overpay for a guy who's had one halfway decent season.

Wide receivers mental cases ???!!! Hold the phone …

No thanks to the same old Patriots offense. The offenses, schemes and how the NFL officiates games all have evolved and the Pats offense needs to as well. It has been merely pedestrian at best since TB12 walked out that door. This team needs to move forward with a new identity and get out of the shadow of Bill, Tom and a dynasty and forge a new path with a new identity. I don't want more of Josh McD's offenses and trying to recreate the past. Brady made that system work, he was the constant through the dynasty and he aint walking back through that door.
