TBH my initial thought when a buddy texted me about it was, 'that's BS'
Not that rifts don't happen but it would show up in small ways before anyone outside the room heard about it. Watch teammates in a post goal celly, from time to time you'll see guys skate up and just tap each other on the shin pads even though they're among the first there. Those guys have an issue / don't much care for each other.

Keefe has surprisingly been 1st on some B's stories in the recent past. My guess is someone was fed some BS to see if it found its way to Keefe. The ol' canary trap

McAvoy and Kastelic to IR. NHL IR means a minimum of 7 days. With the B's having 3 games in that span it may well be that the suspicion McAvoy has been dealing with something nagging has some validity. They also put Hampus Lindholm retroactively on longterm IR, which I suspect is more of a cap related move now that he's skating again vs having anything to do with when he'll be back. He's been out long enough that there's no restriction on when he can return

Poitras is back up from Providence and I hope they make the effort to get the kid some ice time vs using him like a spare part. There's a lot of speed and creativity in his game, the B's need to give the kid a chance to shine this time. Callahan is the call up on D which is the right move as he can play some minutes and they're not rushing Ryan Mast.

Now is the time for Poitras to sink or swim and it'll be disappointing if the B's don't give the kid a genuine chance.

New Strategy: Give up 40 plus shots per game + Score 4+ goals with half as many shots as opponent = Victory!!

I was there last night. Great game. Still prone to these lapses at the end of periods...

Nice. Glad you got to see them win.
At 4-0 I was hoping they don't give up a goal to preserve the shutout, however once TB scored, I immediately was unexpectedly very concerned. This year's team is making it hard to enjoy my whiskey sodas and relax.

Soda? That stuff'll kill ya Brother.
Hell, I'm pretty skeptical of ice cubes at this point.

They certainly owed you a great game after the last debacle they made you sit through

I use flavored soda waters at this point in my "soda career", got rid of the Cokes a couple years ago and will never go back. Ice cubes will always be an important aspect due to my poor man's taste for inexpensive bourbon.

and down the rabbit hole we go...

Hey, at least it's not in the middle of a playoff series. Not to mention we have 3 days before the next game. Gotta stay engaged with my fellow hockey fans.

@maust and I will talk bourbon anytime you want. Playoffs be damned.

Put it in the freezer my man. The difference between decent inexpensive whiskey and ****ty cheap whiskey is about 50-60°

I wouldn't hesitate to throw in Canadian whiskey talk in a hockey thread too. There's always at least one bottle of Crown in the bar freezer here, usually a couple depending on whether or not my sons have been around. The Crown Apple practically disappears when they watch a game with me. Haha, a couple of their wives have even given me hell about losing freezer space at their own homes

I am not a fan of The Crown. Maybe I am too much of a snob. I really haven't gone down the Canadian whiskey path yet. I have dabbled in the Irish stuff, but not enough to say I am an expert. Not even by a long shot.

I find most Irish to be too sweet for my taste, okay going down but that sweet lingering aftertaste is a bit much. A lot of the mid range to better Irish whiskeys are great going down but almost cloying on the palate after the fact. One thing Crown has going for it is there's only the hint of aftertaste

I have a bottle of Glenlivet 12yr on the shelf now, was a gift from my son's girlfriend's father. (I look forward to the day when I can say My son's father-in-law. It's a lot cleaner. ) I like it, but I don't "love" it. It'll last a little bit.

Yeah, I've got various 'gifted' bottles of Scotch here that I'll never crack. I'm just not a Scotch guy, talk about funky aftertastes Scotch wins the weird aftertaste contest going away. If I wanted something that tasted like Scotch I'd just let a bit of ice melt in some low end Canadian

I was gifted some Black Label gift set bottles. Not a fan. I have a decanter that I was pouring the last little bits of bourbon bottles into to make my own blend. I got it about 2 inches deep and added a half a shot of Black Label. Ruined it. I haven't dumped it yet, but i am considering it.
