How about Klint Kubiak?

Browns hire Reese as Offensive Coordinator

That basically leaves Josh as the guy in New England. I'm completely fine with that. Super experienced, knows what to do in big games. Won't be leaving for a head coaching job anytime soon.

EDITED: Sorry late post

Disagree

If Josh were the hire he'd be here already.
Based on Mikes tone when McDaniels was brought up it sounded like meh, and specifically mentioning coaches in the playoffs.
Whoever they are targeting was or is still in the playoffs.

Can not have any more OC turnover for at least the next 3 years

I think it will be very senior OC who will stay put

McDaniels or Doug Pederson

You may be right
I just think they did not do an extensive search for the HC position
Kraft wanted Vrabel for a good reason and moved quickly to get ahead of filling the coaching staff before other teams making changes wittled down the field and to get going before the FA and the draft
Josh is only going to the Pats if he comes back. He will wait
An exhaustive search will make the Rooney rule look more valid this time around and get intel from possible candidates

I know what he means, they have to adapt on the way but always want their eye on the prize, SB.
That’s the opposite of what she said. She said that the goal itself is constantly moving and changing. You’re saying that the team is always changing but the goal remains static. Those are opposite things

He doesn't want to be a OC

The Pats need to bring in an OC who is going to be here for at least 3 years. Not someone looking for a stepping stone back to the HC ranks.

I'd love if they reached out to someone in the college ranks as an OC. Same with the OL if they choose to move on from Peters, though I hope they don't.

Why have no interviews been scheduled yet. Unless vrabel is looking at rams qb coach .

Breer is such a pontificating little punk.

The key point here is that the Pats are now (Maye plus Vrabel plus high draft pick plus cash) a desirable place to come and coach. So not nearly as much of a race to hire the first person you think is a fit and is willing to come here. If someone thinks they may want to coach here, they'll wait for an interview. No harm in doing a bunch of interviews for all levels of staff - if nothing else you get some intelligence and maybe you hire the guy the next time around.

Move very quickly to grab Vrabel, and now you have the luxury of moving with all due deliberation. We're going to have interviews coming out of our ears.

They just started scheduling them today I believe, we may not hear about them until they are happening or have concluded. My guess is they will be mostly done by the weekend and they will have OC and DC hired by middle of next week. Then they will start filling out the rest of the staff

Perhaps Brian Hartline fits what you're looking for?

Perhaps they have but not announced. If the local media would do their jobs we would find out

Vrabel said it would take weeks.

Then why did Tom Rees agree to become the Brownies' OC instead of ours...?
