Tet McMillan is the wild card in all of this.

If our front office likes him a lot, and thinks he's the real deal, and if people are thinking others don't have him rated as highly, I'd look at a possible trade down if he could be grabbed at 6 or 7.'

But that assumes some other team has a guy they need to jump up to pick at 4.

That can only be a QB.

I would think CB, DT, OT, WR, DE are all on the board for the Patriots. Travis Hunter, Tet McMillan, Kelvin Banks, Will Campbell, Will Johnson, Mason Graham are all possible picks for the Patriots.
I do increasingly think that WR1s must be drafted as opposed to overpaid when they hit FA

I'm loving the Ersery chatter! I'm hoping he doesn't get too hyped up but it's sooo early in the process.

Tet shouldn't even be in consideration where we will be picking, he is a guy that would have likely been picked in the 20's last year, but is getting a big boost because of a weak WR draft at the top....we would need to pass up the limited top end talent in the draft to pick a non gamechanging WR.

The LT class is not a great class, would not waste the #4 overall on a LT. I’d get WR Tet McMillan, he’s a game changer. It’ll be interesting to see what he does at the combine, will he run a sub 4.6 or a sub 4.5 ? If he runs in the 4.4’s, how do you pass up a 6’5” 220 pound WR who catches everything and runs in the 4.4’s ? This team needs EXPLOSIVE weapons for Drake.

Now of course, if Hunter somehow drops to #4, you run to the podium.

Will not be angry if they draft a LT, just think #4 is just too high for this LT class.

If Vrabel loves the trenches Brandon Graham is the guy.
I think you mean Mason Graham and I came here to post just that. For two reasons I believe:

1. Vrabel's Titans were built around the trenches and Graham best fits that philosophy at 4.
2. Graham is a high floor prospect and I believe Vrabel will want to nail his first pick as a tone setter.

Also, I wonder if a back like Kalel Mullings would be on the radar at 6-2 233.

Abdul Carter no hesitation if he’s there at 4.

I agree with you that 4 is probably too high for LTs today, pre pro days and combine. I am really leaning BPA at this point, but let's assume they want Campbell at LSU or Banks at Texas just for this exercise. They have them marked at 7-9 for either/both, but can't get a willing trade partner to move back into that slot, and then drop to say 11th, where they miss out on both. To me, it's better to take the player at #4 if you decide he's the "gotta have him" player, even if he's slotted to go a tick later in the round.

I'm really coming around to @One-If-By-Sea point of view and go BPA in this draft. They have a lot of holes. I wouldn't take a QB if one falls to #4, but everything else is pointing to take the best guy, because you probably need him.

Mason Graham. We will love him for 8 to 10 years.

Mason Graham, the anchor.
Hopefully Barmore can come back. Barmore, Graham, and a FA and we are not back, but really good. Need a lower level FA too plus Godchaux and White as backups. Graham and White can move around.

Not sure where this kid will be slotted, but he had a good season.

Mason Graham hands down should be the pick over Abdul Carter. We had problems stopping the run this year and that will end with him, Keion White and hopefully Barmore back. We can't count on Barmore being back (though I think he will be) and Graham has the size and athleticism to be his replacement if needed.

Here's a take. Take it or leave it.

There are two generational players in this draft - Hunter and Jeanty.

LT is the biggest need. Campbell and Banks might be elite guards. They might not be tackles at all. The rest are right tackles or developmental guys,

Tell me why McMillan isn't the Quinton Johnson of a weaker draft class.

The last edge drafted in the top 5 to be a true difference maker was...Julius Peppers?

We are missing the point when we assume the path of the offseason is Higgins + LT or Robinson + Hunter/McMillan. Neither path makes optimal use of our resources.

The biggest goal of this offseason should be to sign Ronnie Stanley. We assume he is unavailable because a team like Baltimore won't let him go. Baltimore is also near the bottom in cap space in 2025. We need to make Stanley the highest paid LT in league history. Tamper if you need, take him out for a massage, whatever it takes. Sign Stanley, and you buy yourself flexibility to work the draft.

Here is a scenario...trade #4 to Chicago for #8, DJ Moore and a pick. At 8, take Jeanty. Move up for Millum or Earsey and start either one at RT. Tackle is solved, you have a legit WR1, and a potential generational RB.

long time no see

When Vrabel said the we need to affect the opposing QB that tells me its Carter or Mason Graham and either one is a huge need. Love em both

IF a top qb dropped to #4 you would probably have other teams calling to trade. just sayin
