Sporting News named him their player of the year.

SI, of course, gave it to Favre for some bizarre reason. Then again Brady already has one, so I guess it's fair enough, though I think it should have been the NE Patriots WR corps who were SI's sportsmen of the year (kind of like how they did the Red Sox and Robinson/Duncan). Moss, Welker, Stallworth, Gaffney on the cover, with Troy Brown in street clothes looking on in the background.

I think that SI will have a sportsgasm (see Kramer, Andrea) over Brady if the Pats go 16-0/19-0, and they were just saving the Brady ball-washing for that.
