But where are they going to get a top five of all-time running back in his prime?

Where did Baltimore and the eagles get there's? I'm more worried about building the line. Its gonna take multiple good drafts to get this talent level up

The good thing about Vrabel is - even if it takes a year to figure out the best coord's and asst. coaches... Vrabel can steer the ship and knows enough 3-phase football to develop consistency. Unlike Mayo, who didn't really know Offense or ST at all. And, ultimately failed in his own unit of (supposed) expertise.

I'd be fine starting with JMD (OC), AVP (QB coach + pass game coord.), Welker (WR coach) - Need a new OL & RB coach.
* I think Josh would really know how to maximize Gibson, Pop, Bell in game plans.
And AVP could keep developing Maye. Welker could bring up Polk, Boutte, and '24 draft pick.

My gut tells me it was BB that vented to Bru.

My comparison was in regards to Vrabel and his success as a coach.

There is no doubt Maye will surpass the best years Tannenhill ever had.

I don't see that as question at all personally.

I like your confidence. People likely thought (still think !?) Herbert would surpass Tanehill as well. A billion costly playoff INTs later (in a mere two games / losses), one can question that hope…

I like Maye. I pray Vrabel has the right OC primed for improving our scoring.

I think it’s one of Glaser, wolf or groh.

Bill certainly dug his own grave, but he definitely had an enemy in the offices. I always assumed it was Jonathan who was the one who worked that aspect, but you could be right.

Herbert had a great season but he reverted back into a turnover machine yesterday.

I still think Maye has a top 5 trajectory if everything breaks his way.

Vrabel will bring much needed stability and accountability to the franchise and that will definitely help a player like Maye.

I know that as of last season her dealings were handling contracts. She definitely had some sort of Influence in the FO.. however that was last season.. Highsmith seems to have been given power over them all.. Vrabel wouldn't have agreed to a contract without some sort of clarity on FO roles.. Vrabel is a smart and calculated guy.

Doubt it. I imagine it is the actual front office.

I am guessing they have guys in high positions in the front office who aren't as sharp as they think they are. Bill was able to keep them quiet by having final say, but they *****ed and moaned when Bill had some bad drafts and Bill got pushed into being more "collaborative", which didn't fix anything. Bill got canned, Wolf is his replacement, but Wolf did not quiet anyone down because Kraft was still all about "collaboration" and "everyone having a say".

Vrabel will come in and get the dumbasses to go sit in the corner and be quiet.
