Sure they can. There is no rush at all. When you rush, you **** up.
Wolf's not gone because Kraft wants to keep him. There's no real point in keeping him now. Whoever the GM is should already be prepping for the draftI don't understand the excuses like we don't have time.
We were told the same thing about not firing the GM. We don't have time for someone else to come in here and do a new grading system!
Meanwhile other teams are firing their GM. Even the raiders who by all metrics nailed last year's draft.

So what. Where has he been the last 30 years?Larry Bird would disagree with you.
Apparently, the guy Ben Johnson would hire to run the offense and to teach Drake Maye the character and attitude of a pro QB is Mark Brunell.
That means Johnson is O - U - T OUT!!!!
We don't need this guy teaching Drake how to be a big blubbering crybaby!
Who needs the Patriot Way when you can have Jaguar prideApparently, the guy Ben Johnson would hire to run the offense and to teach Drake Maye the character and attitude of a pro QB is Mark Brunell.

some risk in that approach. Vrabel probably would decide to move on if Pats do not sign him next week and Johnson could decide to sign with another team or return to the Lions which leaves open the possibility that they do not sign Johnson or Vrabel.Sure they can. This is such a misleading post it’s laughable. You forget to mention the offensive coaches that basically wins every year has the best player. Mahomes, Brady, mahomes, mahomes.Let's end the debate. Analytics time. Bolded years are the Chiefs.
3 out 12 playoff teams in 2019 had a defensive HC. Offense HC won Super Bowl.
5 out 14 playoff teams in 2020 had a defensive HC. Offensive HC won Super Bowl.
4 out of 14 playoff teams in 2021 had a defense HC. Offensive HC won Super Bowl.
3 out of 14 playoff teams had a defense HC in 2022. Offensive HC won Super Bowl.
4 out of 14 playoff teams had a defense HC in 2023. Offensive HC won Super Bowl.
6 out of 14 playoff teams had a defense HC in 2023. I gave the benefit of the doubt considering Harbaugh more of a defensive HC than offense. Super Bowl winner to be determined.
In the last 5 years, the playoff teams with a defensive minded HC made up only 29% of the total playoff teams. None of them have made the Super Bowl and have only made a title game twice (Tennessee and Buffalo) in the last 5 years. The last 5 Super Bowl winning teams have had an offensive minded coach. The last defensive mind to not only win a title game and Super Bowl, was our boy BB in 2018.
It would be a massive mistake going with Vrabel.
Looks like we know who wants Vrabel at HC.This is such a misleading post it’s laughable. You forget to mention the offensive coaches that basically wins every year has the best player. Mahomes, Brady, mahomes, mahomes.
just about Every great coach that wins has the best qb. Whether it’s defensive coach or offensive. Get out of here with your nonsense.
Your gif at the end is laughable. You’re not as clever as you think
I pretty much agree with all you have said. It is to my mind a good and balanced appraisal. Which I believe and hope the owners have too. Well done sir.I like Mike Vrabel. He turned the Titans into a playoff team.
Yes things went downhill after a while but he's proven he can be a head coach at the NFL level.
He also has credentials as a former Patriot player who contributed a great deal to our Superbowl teams and has championship rings to his name so he also has credibility he can sell to the players.
On the other hand, don't expect Vrabel to be an innovator or an offensive genius. Expect him to bring a hard nosed, blue collar attitude to the team. That's fine it has worked before.
The question is will it be enough to turn this team back into contenders?
Ben Johnson just coached the Lions to one of the best offensive teams in the NFL in terms of points and yards and an impressive 15-2 record.
With a young QB and an offense in desperate need of an overhaul, one could argue that Ben Johnson is the best candidate to accomplish that task.
He will also overhaul our personnel department and bring in people to revamp what has been awful scouting and drafting for nearly a decade now.
These are things that tick boxes spelling success for me.
In the end I want the Patriots to return to the top of the ladder so I think you need to take risks and go for Ben Johnson here. His ceiling is higher as a head coach than Vrabel.
I understand those who want to play it safe and bring in Vrabel, but I feel Johnson is the superior candidate if your goal is to end up on top of the league again. Ben Johnson could do a wonderful job of developing Drake Maye and crafting an offense around him to maximize his talents. That could get us to ring #7. That's worth taking a shot on imo.
Seems like a large part of the Pats beat is tied to Vrabel at the hip i.e. they would say that. Kinda think most of the media takes can be ignored. We just need to wait and see what the people doing the interviews think. That said, I don't trust the Pats not to make another monumental arse of things. After 20 years of BB we have proven undeniably useless at recruiting his replacement(s).It's getting annoying these journo's calling Jonson an introvert. I don't reckon 1 of them have even looked at any of his interviews or press conferances.
I play a Godin 5th Avenue, Ibanez jazz boxes and a PRS Hollowbody mostly these days, and I have an old MIJ strat with an ash body and a maple board that I love. That combo, along with pretty underwound pickups, gives it beautiful sparkle and the "quack settings" have a kind of sizzle. Unfortunately the frets on the old MIJ frets are very thin and soft and have worn down badly, and the neck is very narrow with a 7 1/4" radius, which is a little limiting. It'll go off the the luthier for a fret job which - I know my guy - will take him forever, bless his heart. So I am thinking of getting a PRS Silver Sky with the maple board, but they are pretty weird-looking guitars, especially with a maple board (I know: shouldn;t matter) so I am looking a spending maybe $1500-$2000 on an a legit Strat, but there are like 50 different flavors (no "American Standard"?) and I can't figure out which to get which would replicate my MIJ. Maybe a Professional II?I've got a Les Paul Standard and Fender Strat and hate the rosewood necks on my guitars because the wood feels soft under the strings. I wish I had Maple instead.
HahahahahahahahahaMayo - First Act
