Reminds me of TJ Watt. Lightening quick.
Dominant on the edge.
If you believe in bpa and he is there at 4 and Hunter is off the board, pats should grab him.

You can tell the left shoulder is a problem, when he rushes from the left DE spot he’s not using his left arm or shoulder, yet he’s still applying pressure.

Mike Vrabel was listed as 6'4' 261...Carter is listed as 6'3' 259 (ESPN). There is no ****ing way Carter is only 2 pounds lighter than Vrabel was when he was on the Pats. Carter looks small to me. Not saying he's not a great pass rushed but he definitely looks more like a 230-240 tops guy right now

Carter is in the 240s.

Stud and pass rush is a definite need

Did you see the Notre Dame RB run over Carter for the TD? Is Carter strictly a pass rusher?

I'd take Carter any day of the week and 7 times on Sunday. He's also not just an Edge player (which is actually a new position for him as he only started playing there this season), he's more of a "Chess Piece" LB in the mold of Micah Parsons (although heavier and just a bit slower, though still extremely fast and quick for his size). He is playing with an injury. I would want to know what that injury is and if it will be a concern. Unless Banks Jr. is deemed a Day 1 Starter at LT, I'd take Carter. Or, maybe trade back a couple or few spots and take CB Will Johnson out of Michigan (Gonzo and Him would be the best 1-2 Punch at CB in the NFL).

Mostly...but he was also only playing with a screwed up shoulder, so I would expect him to be better than that when healthy.

Alot of his fit is based on the D we are going to run.

I have been banging the drum to fix the OL for 4 years now and our draft position could allow us to take a big step in doing that. But ****, people seem to be raving about this dude. So you know what, our pass rush sucks ass too so I say if this guy is still on the board at 4 we take him.

Its just that the top OL in this draft are not guaranteed plug and play for a decade.
Carter if healthy is more if a sure thing

Kiper has him rated as #2 overall prospect.
He could change Pats D overnight by himself.
They will be lucky if he is there at 4. I do not think he will be.

Ward, Hunter and Carter likely to be 1,2,3

The bad shoulder is a good point.

That's something I pointed out earlier in this Thread. I love the player and his potential. However (and this is with ANY player regardless of which Round they're drafted in), I'd want an extensive medical review of what his injury is, how severe, and if it's something that won't be a problem, then fine.

Graham is a consistent beast. Much bigger than Carter. Pick Graham. Be safe.

I agree about Graham as a Best and would greatly benefit our DL (even more so with the uncertainty regarding Barmore). But Carter can be moved around to exploit an opponent's Offense. He can play Outside LB, Inside LB, and even in the box Safety. He just started playing Edge this past season. I wouldn't mind Graham. I'd just prefer Carter if his shoulder checks out medically. You can't go wrong with either one. I would be happy if it was Graham. Just no Travis Hunter please.
