With the 2018 NFL Draft in full swing, New England Patriots wide receiver Julain Edelman took to his Instagram this week to look back upon the day he was selected in the seventh round in 2009 and to wish the present prospects good luck.
At the time, Edelman had a large climb ahead of him if he ever wanted to be successful in the NFL but as he said in the caption below “New England took a chance on a long shot and I’ve worked relentlessly ever since to prove it was the right decision.”
With two Super Bowl championship rings and over 350 receptions since 2013, Edelman has more than proved it.
