This has an opening post with good commentary and information, which we definitely recommend reading.

Looks like the Kraft fell into public pressure to do a full search. An obvious pivot from yesterday after the two sham interviews. Maybe we can bully him to actually spend this year!

We need a very motivated guy with 6 yrs of HC experience, not a 38 year old who won't be able to hide in the offensive lab as a first time HC.

Phil Perry had a guy on his podcast who described Johnson that way. He's a bit of an introvert. He said there is no way for an HC to be as good as a coordinator when it comes to running an offense. There are just too many demands of an HC.

It's unknown how BJ can handle the demands of being an HC especially in a media market like NE.

Here is what does it for me in 2018 and 2020 Vrabel used a 12th man penalty to stop the clock, saving timeouts and in both cases they scored late for the win.

Vrabel used a BB trick to run time off the clock against us and they got the win and knocked us out of the playoffs. I think attention to details like this and situations is more important than taking a chance on the "next offensive genius". Adam Gase was once considered an offensive genius, josh McD among others that failed a HCs.

Influenced, yes but sorry but the perception that Vrabel was inculcated all he knows by BB by is wrong.

Hes is own man. Period.

I don't see it as an issue.

Bill has a horrible track record of understudies assuming coaching roles but I don't think being associated with him shoud warrant a blacklisting.

Vrabel succeeded on his own. That says enough.
The thing we forget though is that Bill O'Brien gave Vrabel that job in the NFL, and O'Brien was there for about 5 years, so there is a vein of similarity running through all this.

Not sure I get your point.

Belichick's tree. Vrabel played for him and then Vrabel's first NFL job came under a former Belichick assistant
OK I get it. Possible but I think it was more BOB wanting someone to adequately run RAC's system as he was DC in 2016.
