Hey guys I think if we stand pat this year we should be looking at one of the two of these guys. We ranked last in the league in sacks this year so clearly we need help on our DLine. Barmore's injury brings so much uncertainty. If he cant play anymore I think you almost have to go with Graham. He would be a force in the trenches and greatly improve our run defense. However is the team feels Barmore will be fine Carter is another interesting pick. He's 6'3 which some will say is undersized but Von Miller and Will Anderson are both the same size and were/are very successful. Really good first step and hes only played the position for one year. Probably not going to be on parsons level but I think he would still really help our Defense.

Gun to my head I pick Graham though guy really doesnt have many flaws and seems to have all-pro potential.

One reason I’m leaning Carter is that we have a better chance at getting a similar player to Graham in early 2nd or slight trade up. Than we would at getting a player like Carter there. Agree that Barmore health affects this decision. I’m hoping Barmore can play. Maybe, get a guy like Tyleik Williams -DT - OSU in 2nd

I like this thought, but would not be disappointed if we took Graham. There are some massive linemen in this class. Derrick Harmon is 6'5" and 310lbs. Nazir Stackhouse is 6'3" and 320lbs. Deone Walker is 6'6" and 345lbs. Pairing one of them with Godchaux in the middle would be a huge upgrade. Walker is rated as a 2nd round pick and Stackhouse is 4th. I would love to pair these two for the next 10 years. Its reasonable if we trade out at #4, but note likely. I believe in fixing the trenches first. Yes, Drake need weapons, but those will come in time.

Alot of it will depend on who the DC is too, both sides of the ball will need to be remade, how many of our current guys work in the new system? What is Barmore's status?

Lots of questions.....my gut says Carter, but he has no real place in the system we have been running....Graham is more scheme flexible, and is insurance in case Barmore is done.

I'm not a fan of that mindset with the roster being (pretty much) a blank slate right now. We're looking for building blocks, especially with the #4 pick in the draft. Don't cloud your evaluations with the idea of who you might be able to get later. They absolutely need to start adding building block, foundational type players and #4 pick is far and away their best chance to do so. They shouldn't even think about taking a guy they like less because they can "fill that need" later. Maybe positionally, but the need for foundational pieces trumps positional needs right now and they need to keep themselves 100% focused on that angle at #4.

I don't think Hunter makes it to #4 I do agre we need a dt badly and Graham is the best. Just wondering if anyone thinks we could trade down a little and still get Graham? Thoughts

I lean Graham because it would shore up the interior and give them 2 interior DL who can get after the QB, and if Barmore returns healthy and ready to play a DL with White, Barmore, and Graham on it would give them the best young DL in football.

Graham would be nice. But, I'd go with Carter. He can play every LB position and Edge. He was only moved to Edge this past season. He's an exceptional athlete for his size and has great speed and quickness for his size. Again, Graham wouldn't be difficult to take either. He's just a notch below Micah Parson, but is bigger and has the speed and agility that you don't usually see in guys his size, and with how versatile he is. He could be one of those "Chess Piece" players that you can move around the Defense.

White might be better off on the inside though at least in pass rush situations. Adding an edge rusher like Carter might still give you inside guys who can get after the QB because now they could play White where he seems best suited as a pass rusher. And Carter, in theory makes your edge rush better too because White isn’t as effective rushing from that spot. And when White is effective rushing off the edge, seems like it usually comes at the expense of any regard for holding the edge and that bites them a lot of the time.

I think good arguments can be made for several players, or other moves at 4, and what they can get done in free agency will alter the needs. Carter is one of the few blue chip players in this draft, so his name will definitely be in play.

Mason Graham. No question. Took over multiple games. We need another run-stuffing DT.

I like what Carter presents despite he is being undersized a bit. However watching Eagles team I think a tough front seven and constant DL pressure on QB is a basis of building defense. Graham and healthy Barmore offer that.

On a preliminary glance for me of the draft class, it feels like...

CB/WR (emphasis on CB) Travis Hunter, EDGE Abdul Carter, IDL Mason Graham, and CB Will Johnson are the 4 best players in this draft.

S Malaki Starks, RB Ashton Jeanty, TE Tyler Warren and TE Colston Loveland seem like the guys who might be absolute studs and star players but pushed down the draft board because of positional value.

OL Will Campbrell, OL Kelvin Banks, WR Tetairoa McMillan seem like good prospects but not "blue chip" talents that someone might draft over the top 4 because of positional value and/or need. The QBs are the QBs and also fall into this category, but not as relevant to discuss for our team specifically.

Let's draft BPA. I think that will be Hunter or Graham.

Abdul Carter looking really good in tonight’s game
