Either way, I understand your position perfectly well. You seem to be focused on the entertainment part of it where I'm focused on the winning part of it.
Here is a prime example of your inability to understand simple things, and your preference for twisting them instead. Why? Because you hate Belichick.

I never said anything about being focused on entertainment over winning. NEVER WAS SAID. I'm not saying that, never said it. You don't understand my very simple point AT ALL.

The others who responded to that point understood it easily.

I need you to focus. I told you from the start losing is losing.

That's what I said.

Cut the nonsense and address it.

Draft Jeanty then
Don’t think that player hasn’t crossed my mind. Yes, it would irresponsible to not take Wr or Ot with 4 etc, however he is one of the best playmakers in this draft and could be a legitimate security blanket for Maye for years to come. He is for the most part the consensus number 2 prospect in this draft and idgaf what the doubters say, that would be a consolation prize for missing out on the 1 and Hunter. Oline can be fixed with some key acquisitions in free agency and good drafting.

Vrabel seems to be the consensus safe choice.

Johnson seems to be the innovative hot pick. One of his coaches Adam Gase was “this guy” 5-8 years ago. It didn’t work out for the Dolphins or Jets. No dividends..
[…]
Not against the Ben Johnson hiring by any means. McVay worked out for the Rams who was in a similar position years ago. But he’s not 100% a safe bet. Like any rookie coach he’s got to prove it he can do it on the biggest stage.
McVay. Super Bowl LIII. Nuff said.

I see Johnson and Vrabel as similar to McVay and Belichick in that SB.

One is the latest hot wunderkind offensive genius. The other is the gritty old school defensive grinder.

Result speaks for itself in that game. It’s a cautionary tale for those enamored of the bright shiny innovator.

Okay. Which defensive first team has last won the super bowl? And which defensive first team in the playoffs right now is going to win or can win the super bowl?

I'm intrigued by Jeanty too.

Chiefs

You are acting like Vrabel is some layup and not liable to be the guy that got himself fired in TN.
You seem to be saying that getting himself fired because he didn’t like being kneecapped was a bad thing.

Yeah Vrabel is a victim lol. He meant to only win 6 games. He meant to not get hired last cycle because he's a headcase. Poor guy

I'm very intrigued by Carter. And honestly our defense might be the bigger problem.
I agree, I think our biggest weakness was on D. If he is the best pass rusher available between the draft and free agency it needs to be considered.
Ubless you think Tet is Mike Evans, and Hunter is Justin Jefferson.
I don’t think there is a online worth taking at 4.

Dude, I’ve watched you beat so many threads to death over things like whether losing is losing that I’m just not going to engage with you until you clean up your act. You’re one strike away from being my second ever ignore list entry, and I’ve been here a long time so that’s a major recognition. It’s a shame because you have some very good posts. If you didn’t you’d be on ignore already. But you have to learn when enough is enough. Sorry but I won’t let myself be sucked into your vortex.

Bruh. He was in a one score game with the best defensive coach of all time and best QB ever and won the Superbowl 3 years later.

It's a weird position to take that McVay isn't good. That bright shiny innovator has been the two super bowls and won one.

It only counted for 3 draft slots. No big deal though.
Imagine if it was a draft with one elite franchise QB.

This year wasn’t as damaging losing the top pick.

Not sure you can squeeze a 2026 1st out of a bad team with the mediocre QBs in the 2025 draft.

We can get a good player at a position if need at #4.

You should probably put me on ignore because I'm not going to ignore people who quote me.

I find it interesting that it's me that you want to shut up and not the two users who continue to follow me across threads.

Meanwhile here you are further derailing a thread out of nowhere for no reason. Do you even see the hypocrisy here?

You said you take very little pleasure from watching a bad offense vs watching a bad defense. You said the games are infinitely more watchable if the games are closer than if they aren't in a losing season.

These feel like they come from how entertaining they are, do they not?

You put words in my mouth from the jump. Which is hilarious because you keep complaining about it. You said it doesn't make a difference to me if the game is close or a blowout. I never said that. I didn't even imply it.

What I said was from the jump, is it doesn't matter. It literally doesn't matter as a matter of fact. 4 and 13 is the same as 4 and 13.

We don't get extra picks or brownie points or whatever you wanna say for being more competive in one season vs the next. What we get is two **** seasons.

Let this be a lesson to those of you who can't hang.

Come with the receipts.
