Starting to feel like perhaps Wolf actually IS Ben Johnson's guy...
OK we define "control" differently.I don't think it's control if you stay out of it and don't meddle. Which by all accounts Reid doesn't go ear that stuff.
I agree on your second point to a degree.
This sounded so dark the first time I read it. Holy ****What if Vrabel comes in a ****s all over the place and "Kraft goes WTF just happened?" and passes?
That is interesting. This certainly adds another level of intrigue.
I will say in regards to some of your posts... I think there were some different levels to the whole idea of BB playing both roles. He always had final say, but it was a very different dynamic with Pioli and then Caserio compared to what it was at the end. BB as the final decision maker I thought worked out well when he legitimately trusted, valued, and empowered the guys working in the front office. He may have had final say over Pioli and Caserio but it seemed he genuinely trusted their input and it was collaborative. Also, maybe most importantly, they had non stop success. That helps.I also think that Vrabel is going to come in trying to sell the idea that he will be the next Bill Belichick and do a bunch of things Kraft is comfortable with and not challenge him because it gives Vrabel more freedom.
Ben Johnson will come in and say "uhhh this isn't how teams do things anymore, I can help bring you into the future".
I think Eliot Wolf reputation and respect in the league is greater than what fans here thinksThis certainly adds another level of intrigue.
Just starting to read up on himI like everything about Vrabel but Tommy Rees could be in line for a NFL HC or a College HC job in 2 years.
I don’t want to do that to Maye.
Because they are the Jags and always seem to collapse and remain mediocre year after year. Not sold on Lawrence right now either…Chicago would be a good spot….but NE would be the best for Johnson. I still think Krafts already have handshake deal with Vrabel doneWhy will Ben Johnson choose us over bears or jags.
Jags -- great weather, no taxes, lots of foundational pieces , very easy division.
The only draw I see for us is if Johnson views Maye as a top 5 QB in league and wants an empty canvas on which he can paint whatever he wants and give the thrill of working in a start-up. There is too much to do for us here. Saving grace - we have huge cap space, but sadly free agents class is not great. Unless she wants to cement his legacy as the coach who won a Superbowl by inheriting mess created by Bill and mayo. That's a huge leg up.
It’s been reported that he accepted by several sources.Do we have word that Johnson is taking the interview?
I really expected for him to just outright turn it down.

Get rid of AVP and especially Covington….Covington is horribleCovington MIGHT need to be let go?
Any predictions as to whether the sun will rise tomorrow?
Keeping Wolf might be the key to Johnson.Ohhhh geeeeez.
