It's incredible reading the board today how little credit Kraft is getting for firing Mayo. After the consensus was pretty much he wouldn't have the balls to fire a minority.

Ownership made a mistake, and now they realize they have to correct it.

I hear ya but I think there is just no way Covington stays on. He is part of the culture problem that stems off of Mayo IMO. Which is too bad because Covington definitely had promise to be a good DC if he had a few more years to grow.

I think Springer definitely can and should be kept.

AVP is worth consideration as he seemed to maintain some level of leadership and accountability despite Mayo. I don't think it would undermine the next coach if he was kept on in some role. That said, I suspect Cleveland will want to bring him back as a full OC.

I dont even see a problem with the stadium. I never go to Gillette and think "man this place is antiquated". What more do people want other than maybe a 10 lane highway to replace route 1?

Who is to say the team wouldn't rally around the replacement? It happens all the time after a coach is fired.

Then everyone would be screaming "Mayo was so bad. We would have lost with him trying?"

They built a other one in LA when at Louis refused to build ANOTHER stadium.
