NahIs Mayo one of the worst coaches of all time?
Def the worst that I've ever seen in New England. Including Rust and MacPhearson. Is Mayo one of the worst coaches of all time?
Execution decides games. Mayo was playing reserves as well, you can't tell players to just lie down.
No they are not. I guarantee you that the Rooney's and Mara's and many others don't tell the coaches who to play at QB and what non-coach is allowed to hang out at the facility and overrule the coaching staff when it comes to directions given to players. There's so much more they've done, like undermine the coaching staff from within last year. They're the least meddlesome owners in the league. For the entire BB era they let him do what what he wanted. That's the opposite of meddling.
I love him as a OC and he is a great offensive mindBut at least we know Ben Johnson climbed the ladder and not boot licked his way up.
No coach would tell their players to lay down and quit. I read all day long that mayos to blame for them winning. These players have been working at winning since pop warner. Losing is anathema to them.I have a feeling they told him to lose and he went ahead and won anyways. That’s why he was so cheerful (unlike Any other game this year) throughout the game. And hence why the Krafts looked so pissed and miserable in their box throughout the game, and at the end of the day why they did the unprecedented and fired him right after the game and not tomorrow.
I hope he has a hard time getting a HS coaching gig. Something he might have the qualifications for, but im not even sure of that.
They had every reason to fire him last week. It didn’t take a rocket scientist to know he was gonna do everything he could to win this game to feed nothing more than his own big ego and sail off giving the organization the middle finger. If any Patriots fans still have a mayo jersey, they should burn it tonight.
That would have been something out of Melrose Place.Because he didn’t want to be let go at half time
Urban Meyer is worse, didn’t make it to the end of the seasonIs Mayo one of the worst coaches of all time?
He also could have had them run the ball right up the middle on 1st and 2nd downs then a half ass pass play then punt it, especially once Buffalo got the lead. It was easy as pie...and he ****ed that up too.Because he didn’t want to be let go at half time
It wasn't off the table. Someone had to be talked off the ledge. That would have been something out of Melrose Place.
Yes. Probably the least qualified coach of all time as well.Is Mayo one of the worst coaches of all time?
I love him as a OC and he is a great offensive mind
Would love an Offensive coach
But……..
Not sure how many connections he has in the NFL. This is a must, after what we seen this year
First time HC. Much different than being a Coordinator
How would he handle a Boston venomous media. We seen the effect of that this year
We still do not even know if he wants to leave Detroit
What is decent about getting fired tomorrow instead of today? This is what bothers me. They should have had the decency to wait until tomorrow. Maybe they were pissed we won?
That would have been something out of Melrose Place.
There is zero reason to fire him 1 hour after the game. There is a reason it's called Black Monday and not Black Sunday. What is decent about getting fired tomorrow instead of today?
With regards to Patriots coaches, for the older folks here **** McPherson. 8-24. With the infamous game where he did not know what ths score was...Is Mayo one of the worst coaches of all time?
